- there are two distinct breeds (Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Cardigan Welsh Corgi)
- Corgi literally means dwarf dog
- Corgi’s have a double coat and shed a lot
- Amazon’s early office mascot was a corgi

Our breed of the week……Pomeranian

Fun facts:
- they descend from a large arctic sled breed
- Queen Victoria owned 35 Pomeranians
- they used to herd reindeer
- they can give birth to twins
- they think they are big dogs, giving big dog energy. They are bold and vibrant for their tiny size

Our breed of the week….. MALTESE 🤍

Some fun facts about this breed:
- their adorable black button nose can turn pink if they do not get enough sun
- they are infamous for being picky eaters
- this breed was loved by royalty, including Queen Victoria
- this dog breed makes excellent watch dogs
- they are one of the oldest dog breeds
- their coat is more like hair than fur, so they don’t shed much

Today’s featured breed: German Shorthair Pointer
- they are called Velcro dogs because they love sticking to their owners
- their floppy ears help funnel scents towards their nose
- their spots are just as unique as fingerprints, no two are the same
- they stay puppies at heart…well, forever 💕
