Final day of another successful Trap Neuter Return clinic in Avon. This trip was dedicated to Donna Schatz. She was one of the first three women on the Island to start to do something about the feral cat problem. Friends of Felines-Hatteras Island was formed and they worked with NCSU Mobile surgery unit and a clinic on Roanoke Island before I started going in 2010.
Donna passed away the morning we were setting up of a long term blood disorder. I think she was holding on for one more round of cat trapping. Donna, if you are listening, I personally did one thousand three hundred fifteen cats with you 💜😇😥
