KRONOS | Obedience Program Student

Meet Kronos, a handsome ~16-week-old Dogo Argentino! He made the journey all the way from California to North Carolina to join his new family and the cross-country trip was well worth it. His owners went above and beyond, not only researching the breed thoroughly but also lining up a trainer before he even came home. Starting him off on the right path now will set the foundation for a happy, well-balanced life together.

During his time with us, we’ll be focusing on engagement, leash manners, proper socialization, recall, and so much more. Kronos is a naturally social pup who will thrive with the structure, exposure, and experiences he’ll gain throughout his training.

• Breed facts: The Dogo Argentino is a large, mastiff-type breed from Argentina, primarily bred for hunting large game such as peccaries, wild boar, and pumas. Known for its strong scenting ability, speed, and stamina, the Dogo can also be trained for roles in police or military work.

TEDDY | puppy program graduate

Teddy has been an absolute joy to have around and stole all of our hearts pretty quickly. He’s an incredibly stable puppy with great drive and a wonderfully biddable attitude. He showed up to each session with impressive focus and excelled, even around distractions that might trip up much older dogs.

With consistent and ongoing training, this little guy has such a bright future ahead of him, and we hope to have the opportunity to continue working with him! We would absolutely love to see the dog he grows into. We are beyond proud of this little grizzly bear.

HAZEL | Obedience Program Student

This little golden cutie comes with a big personality, strong opinions, and the quintessential youngest sibling mentality. Hazel spends plenty of time pestering her super patient housemates and being a bit of a lovable menace. Basically, she’s been writing her own rule book—and having a grand time doing it.

She joined us earlier this week and is already settling in well, starting to thrive with clear boundaries and set expectations. We’re excited to help her channel all that energy into more appropriate behaviors and guide her toward becoming the dream golden girl we know she can be!

HEINZ 🍅 | Obedience Program Graduate

Where do we even begin with this good boy? Heinz has been an absolute joy to work with. He’s the definition of an eager-to-please dog—always happy to participate and ready to do whatever’s asked of him, as long as he can be part of the action.

Needless to say, he excelled in his training and made huge strides in learning to manage his only “flaw”: a bit too much excitement on leash (which, honestly, just adds to his charm). We can’t wait to see how he does back at home and are already looking forward to his follow-ups and any future training or boarding visits!

PETEY | Obedience Program Student

Petey is a young adult who was rescued from a local group about a month ago. Her new owners truly understand the value of training and were eager to set her up for success—so they got her started in one of our programs right away.

She’s an easygoing, calm girl with a sweet nature toward people and most other dogs. While she lacks engagement and hasn’t had much formal training, we’re so excited to be part of her new journey and cannot wait to train with her. We look forward to helping her build confidence and introducing her to all kinds of new skills during her time with us! Welcome sweet girl! 🌺🌻🌷

CLAUDE & CONRAD | off leash obedience graduates

Conrad and Claude are all set to head home and show off their newly learned skills! These two were absolute clowns and such a fun pair to train. They brought tons of enthusiasm to every session and kept us laughing every single day.

As littermates, we made sure they spent most of their time working separately to help them develop their own unique personalities and avoid becoming overly dependent on each other. Both boys absolutely knocked it out of the park, and we couldn’t be more proud of them!

GIGI | obedience program student

Gigi is a roughly 3-month-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi here for our Puppy Obedience and Off-Leash program. She is such a fun little dog—we can’t get enough of her amazing personality! Super social and always here for a good time, Gigi has quickly won everyone over.

On top of being a total sweetheart, she’s proving to be one smart cookie. No surprise there—Corgis may be small, but they’re no lap dogs. Originally bred as working dogs, Pembroke Welsh Corgis were used to herd cattle on farms and ranches. Known for their fearlessness and independence, they’ve got brains and boldness to spare. Fun fact: they were also the favorite breed of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who owned more than 30 Corgis in her lifetime!

RUTGER | off leash obedience program student

Rutger is a young Weimaraner who shares many of the same challenges as other young dogs—namely, difficulty with focus, attention, and following through with directions. He’s also had a few moments of environmental sensitivity, stemming from a mix of excitement and insecurity.

Our goal is to help channel Rutger’s working dog energy and intelligence into something productive, while teaching him how to navigate the world confidently and respectfully. With consistent training, clear communication, and well-defined expectations, we’re setting Rutger and his owner up for a future full of adventure and success together.

Originally developed in Germany to hunt large game like bear and boar, the Weimaraner is an athletic, intelligent breed with strong tracking instincts. Rutger is no exception, and we’re excited to help him grow into the model canine citizen we know he can be.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Amy, the newest member of the FluidK9 family!

Originally from the West Coast, Amy relocated to North Carolina a few years ago. In 2020, she rescued her pittie mix, Vega—who unknowingly became her introduction to the world of dog training. Though sweet, Vega had boundless energy and a “bull in a china shop” personality. She was the definition of an “act first, ask questions later” kind of dog. Determined to help Vega develop more constructive habits—for both Vega’s well-being and a more peaceful home—Amy dove headfirst into training. In the process of working through behaviors and building a stronger bond with Vega, she discovered her passion for dog training and never looked back.

Today, Amy shares her home with three dogs: Gumbo (the wise old man), Mazzy (the resident circus performer), and Vega (her trusted training assistant).

We’re thrilled to have Amy on our team! Her dedication to understanding behavior and her love of training make her an incredible asset to any dog and owner lucky enough to work with her.

TEDDY | puppy foundations program student

Meet Teddy, a 4-month-old Bouvier des Flandres who will be spending the next few weeks with us to learn puppy basics and build a solid foundation for future training. He has already settled in beautifully, showing his sweet and special nature. Teddy enjoys playing with the other dogs and then sitting back to observe, taking everything in. During training sessions, he has shown great focus and enthusiasm. Stay tuned for updates on this smart and lovable boy!

BREED FACTS: The Bouvier des Flandres is a large, steady working dog that originated in Flanders, Belgium, in the 1600s. Their name, meaning “Cow Herder of Flanders,” reflects their historical role on farms, where they herded sheep, drove cattle, and pulled carts. Today, they excel as guard dogs, police dogs, and competitors in dog sports such as agility, carting, tracking, and herding. Known for their loyalty and gentle nature, Bouviers also make wonderful family companions.

JACK AND JILL | program graduates

Jack and Jill underwent an incredible transformation from the start of their program to the day they went home. When they arrived, they lacked clarity on some expectations, including e-collar communication. We took things back to the basics, refining their foundations, setting clear expectations, and ensuring they fully understood the e-collar. Once everything was broken down for them, they thrived.

We’ve loved working with them, getting to know their quirky personalities and can’t wait to see them embark on new adventures with their owner!

Dash has been a loads of fun to train. He’s the epitome of a classic GSP—outgoing, goofy, and always ready for action. With his boundless energy and eagerness to work, he thrived during his lessons, mastering on and off leash obedience and proving just how capable he is. We have no doubt that he’s set for a lifetime of exciting adventures with his owners, including a few bike rides!

HEINZ | 🍅 | obedience program student

Join us in welcoming Heinz to our obedience program. He is a 4-year-old doodle that was adopted about two years ago. Heinz has been a wonderful companion with a fun-loving and goofy personality. He’s social with both people and other dogs, making him a super pup to be around.

However, his excitement can sometimes turn into anxious behaviors, stemming from insecurity. Our goal is to build his confidence and help him learn how to channel that enthusiasm in a more productive way. We can’t wait to see him grow!

GRADY | Obedience Program Graduate

Grady has been a familiar face in our home for quite some time, thanks to a referral from (a heartfelt thank you—we miss you!). From the start, he brought boundless energy and a touch of that classic working dog spirit, courtesy of his field-bred Golden Retriever lineage. Though initially a bit headstrong and rebellious, Grady has made remarkable progress, transforming into a well-mannered and eager-to-please pup.

Through consistent training and structure, he has learned to channel his drive into more productive and appropriate behaviors. With continued reinforcement and clear boundaries, Grady is well on his way to thriving as both a loyal companion and an all-around wonderful dog. We’re incredibly proud of how far he’s come!

PANCHO | obedience program graduate

It’s hard to believe Pancho’s time with us is already over — it flew by thanks to his awesome attitude and playful personality. He built a solid foundation through private puppy sessions, which set him up for success and made his transition into the board and train program a breeze.

Pancho is the total package — a small dog with a big work ethic. He’s proof that even little dogs thrive with structure and a sense of purpose.

We are super proud of him and his progress and look forward to seeing him.

CONRAD & CLAUDE | Obedience Program Students

Meet Conrad (merle) and Claude (blue), our newest dynamic duo! These littermate brothers are spending the next four weeks mastering the basics before leveling up to some off-leash skills. Since they’re so used to sticking together, we’ll be making sure they learn to handle things solo too — no sibling crutches allowed!

Conrad’s already got confidence all figured out, strutting through life like he owns the place. Claude, on the other hand, needs a bit of a pep talk when it comes to new experiences — but with a little encouragement, he’ll be catching up to his brother in no time.

They’re energetic, seriously food-motivated, and bound to keep us entertained. Training these two should be loads of fun.

JACK AND JILL | obedience program students

If you guessed “Jack and Jill” on our story question yesterday—you’re absolutely right!

This awesome duo has had prior training (not with us) and are now spending a few weeks with us to fine-tune their skills and clear up a few gray areas. We are really enjoying having them here! Jill is the outgoing social butterfly, while Jack prefers to hang back and take it all in.

Their owner’s goals? Better teamwork when they’re together, no more jumping, and improved leash manners. We’re excited to help them level up their obedience and make life even easier for their owner.

PANCHO | Obedience Program Student

Pancho, a young and charming Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, first joined us for puppy foundations, where he got a great start in training. However, as he’s grown, so have some mischievous habits—like playfully chasing his feline housemate and getting a little too excited on leash walks.

Now, he’s back for a few weeks to refine his manners, work through these challenges, and sharpen essential skills like a reliable recall. With his sweet personality and eagerness to learn, Pancho is sure to make great progress!
