Meet the Senior SIX ❤️🐾
Meet Holly, JoJo, Max, Junior, Mae, and Penny—six precious little seniors whose entire world has been turned upside down…not once, but twice.
For years, these six lived together as a family. They were pampered, loved, cuddled, and cared for by their elderly Mom and Dad. Mom and Dad took them to the vet, made sure they received their medications, kept them looking their best, and gave them the love and attention they deserved. They were truly part of the family.
Then one day, their beloved Mom passed away.
The six little ones didn’t understand. They missed her terribly. The woman who had cared for them, loved them, cuddled them, and made sure they had everything they needed was suddenly gone.
But Dad was still there. He loved them with all his heart and did everything he could to care for them.
Unfortunately, Dad began struggling with his own health, and caring for six vulnerable senior dogs became more than he could physically manage.
One day, Dad had a medical emergency at home, and a concerned neighbor came to check on him. Even in the middle of everything he was going through, his first concern was his dogs. ❤️
The neighbor made sure Dad received help and then went inside to check on the six pups.
When she went inside, it was clear that the six pups were going through a difficult time and were in need of some much-needed veterinary care. Their skin needed attention, and their little mouths were suffering from significant dental disease and infected teeth.
It was heartbreaking to see, especially knowing how deeply these little dogs had been loved and cared for throughout their lives.
Dad loved these babies with all his heart. He simply found himself in a situation where he could no longer provide the level of care they needed, and he made the incredibly difficult decision to ask for help.
After speaking with Dad, he made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender them to Remo’s Rescue. He knew these six precious lives deserved the care and attention he was no longer physically able to provide.
And that’s where we come in. ❤️
The timing couldn’t have been worse.
Remo’s Rescue was already on an intake hold. We have no fosters. We have too many heartworm-positive dogs waiting for treatment. And honestly?
We are TIRED. SO. SO. TIRED.
But we couldn’t turn our backs on the Senior SIX.
These pups—and their people—are special to us. So even when our rescue is stretched beyond its limits, we said YES.
Now, we need your help.
💔 We need to raise $4,200 to get all six seniors healthy and ready for their new lives.
We are looking for sponsors for each dog. The estimated cost is approximately $700 per pup, and every dollar will help provide the veterinary care, dental work, medications, treatments, and everything else these babies need.

Max is the oldest at 11½ and, don’t tell the others, he was Mom’s favorite. He spent his days warming her lap.
Holly was a birthday present from Mom to Dad—a precious living reminder of the woman he loved.
JoJo is extra special to us because she was once a Remo’s Rescue foster…and became a foster fail. ❤️
And then there’s Mae. I already have a serious soft spot for this little heart-stealer. 🥹
Junior and Penny are just as precious, and every single one of these little seniors is a complete lovebug.
Their lives have changed so much.
They’ve lost their Mom. They’ve watched their Dad struggle. They’ve lost the home and family they’ve known for years.
But they haven’t lost their ability to love. ❤️
They deserve a soft place to land.
They deserve to be comfortable.
They deserve the medical care they’ve been missing.
And most of all, they deserve to spend their golden years knowing they are safe, cherished, and loved.
