These might seem odd…
but here are the rules I have for myself as a groomer who refuses to treat your dog like “just another appointment” 👇🐶💖

1. I never take my eyes off the dog I’m grooming.
👉I offer true one-on-one care. Not “cage free with 6 dogs roaming.” If my attention isn’t 100% on your pup, things can go wrong, fights, eating something they shouldn’t, and anxiety spikes. Safety first, always.

2. I follow a strict step-by-step intake routine the second your pup walks in.
👉It keeps me from missing anything. Even if the dog needs a gentler approach or a comfort break, having a routine means everything flows smoothly and your baby feels secure.

3. No dog waits around doing nothing; we play while they wait.
👉If your pup loves fetching the ball, that’s what we do between stages of the groom. They don’t just get pampered… they get their daily joy in the process.

4. I only use high-quality, skin-safe products, never the cheap bulk stuff.
👉I tailor every bath to your dog’s coat and skin needs. If I wouldn’t use it on my three schnauzers, I’m not putting it on your baby either.

5. I treat every dog as if they were part of my own pack.
👉Because they are. They deserve love, patience, and respect, even when no one is watching.

💛 Comment “PAMPER” and I’ll send you the link to book your pup’s next Spaw Day
so they can experience one-on-one, cage-free, stress-free grooming the way they deserve.

Literally everything you do right now can make a huge difference during flea season. 🐶

Even something as simple as brushing your dog after walks can help you:

👉 Spot fleas early
👉 Remove them before they become a bigger problem
👉 Prevent nonstop scratching, shaking, and discomfort

Because let’s be real… fleas don’t just stay on your dog. 😭
They end up on couches, carpets, beds, blankets… basically everywhere your fur baby loves to hang out.

Regular baths and coat maintenance during warmer weather can help your baby stay comfortable, clean, and guest-free all summer long. ☀️🫧

And honestly… nobody likes watching their fur baby scratch like crazy.

Starting prevention early = a happier summer for everyone. 🐾

From the bottom of my heart…
as a dog mom who once didn’t do these things
I’m sharing this so your baby doesn’t struggle like mine did.

These are things I wish someone told me sooner:

1. Teach your dog that touch is safe
Face, paws, tail… all of it.
This builds trust and makes grooming + vet visits so much less stressful for them.

2. Brushing is not optional
Even just 5 minutes after a walk can remove loose hair, dirt, and prevent painful matting.
This is one of the simplest ways to keep your pup comfortable.

3. Dental care matters more than you think
Checking their teeth, gums, and brushing regularly can prevent bigger health issues.
If daily feels like too much, start with 2–3 times a week.

4. Paw care is part of their comfort
Hair under the paws can cause slipping and trap debris.
Keeping that area clean helps them walk better and feel more secure.

5. Nail trims are not just about looks
Long nails can cause pain and even affect their joints over time.
Regular trims = better movement and less discomfort.

I didn’t ignore these things because I didn’t care…
I just didn’t fully understand how important they were.

And maybe you’re there right now too.

But it’s never too late to start.
Starting now is still an act of love 💗

I’m here to help remind you that caring for them goes beyond the basics…
because they deserve to feel as good as they look 🐾

And yes… I really do love and use all of these 🐾

Not just in The Schnauzy Spaw, but on my own babies too.
If it’s not something I trust on my schnauzers, I won’t use it on your fur babies either.

Over time I’ve found products that actually make grooming easier, safer, gentler, and more comfortable for dogs, especially for sensitive pups, fluffy coats, senior dogs, and dogs that deserve a stress-free pampering experience 💗

So I put together a little guide explaining:
✨what each product is
✨what I personally use it for
✨why I keep reaching for it over and over again

Because as a dog mom first… I care a lot about what goes on their skin, coat, paws, teeth, and face.

13 years of Puky ❤️🐾

This weekend was all about our oldest boy.

From beach trips, birthday shopping, treats, cuddles, a fresh Spaw day, and chaotic family photos… we celebrated the stubborn king of The Schnauzy Crew the way he deserved 😌

As our dogs get older, things start changing, slower walks, more vet visits, new routines, medicines, and learning how to take care of them in different ways.

But one thing that never changes is how deeply they become part of our family 💗

Puky may be 13 now…
but he still demands snacks, belly rubs, attention, and to be the center of everything 😂🐾

And honestly?
We wouldn’t want it any other way.
