It’s HOT out there, Texas! Here’s how to keep your pup safe:

🛁 Bathe as needed — more often in summer if your pup swims a lot. Regular deshedding also helps dogs cool down naturally. Not sure what’s right for your dog’s coat? Just ask me!
❄️ Use cool (not ice-cold) water on belly/paws/ears to lower body temp safely.
🚫 Don’t shave double-coated breeds (huskies, collies) — their coat protects from heat! Curly-coated pups can go shorter.
🐾 Walk early morning or late evening — hot pavement burns paw pads.
⚠️ Watch for heavy panting, drooling, or wobbliness — signs of overheating. Get to shade/water/vet fast!

🦴 COAT: Heavy double coat. Brush 2-3x/week, daily when shedding.
🐾 EXERCISE: 1-2 hrs/day minimum — bored huskies get destructive.
🍖 DIET: Balanced protein/fat to protect joints & skin.
🩺 HEALTH: Regular vet checks + eye monitoring.
✂️ GROOMING ISN’T OPTIONAL
Home brushing isn’t enough. Pro grooming (every 1-2 months) deep-cleans the undercoat, prevents mats, and catches skin issues early. It’s about health, not just looks.

A lot of people think grooming is only for long-haired dogs — but short-coated breeds like French Bulldogs need it too! Even with a short coat, Frenchies are heavy shedders and can really benefit from regular deshedding treatments. It helps reduce loose hair around the house, keeps their skin healthy, and prevents buildup that can lead to irritation. Don’t skip grooming just because the coat looks short — these babies need it just as much🐾
