Not every superhero wears a cape.
Some wear a wiggly tail, a pitty smile, or have the incredibly powerful ability to make you ugly cry after one cuddle.

But every superhero story needs a hero...
And right now, ours are still waiting for theirs.

Meet Barbie, 8 Track, Floodlight, Savannah, Mixtape, and French Onion Soup—our all-star team of Experienced Shelter Residents. These girls have each been with us for 2+ months, patiently watching kennel after kennel empty while they’re still waiting for someone to choose them.

Every single day, they watch other dogs leave for their happily-ever-afters.
They watch families walk past.
They watch friends they made get adopted.
They watch the shelter doors open... and close... hoping this will finally be their turn.

The truth? They aren't overlooked because they're less deserving. They're overlooked because they're familiar. The longer a dog stays, the more they become part of the background—and we're refusing to let that happen anymore.

These girls don't need another day of watching everyone else get picked.

They’re looking for heroes.
Heroes who will share their stories.
Heroes who will tell their friends.
Heroes who will stop by and meet them.
Heroes who might just become their happily-ever-after.

Because after months of watching people come and go, these girls deserve to be the ones walking out the front door next.

August is officially **CLEAR THE SHELTERS MONTH** — and we have decided to choose **VIOLENCE… but like, wholesome adoption violence.** 😂💥

For the **ENTIRE MONTH OF AUGUST**:

NO, we did not forget a zero.
NO, there isn’t a secret catch.

They watch people walk into the shelter.

They watch kennels around them empty.

They watch their friends get adopted.

And then… they’re still here.

Still waiting.

Still hoping that **today is their day.** 🥺

And THAT is why we want to clear these kennels.

Because every single one deserves the moment when someone finally walks up and says:

It’s Monday… and HR says we still have positions to fill.

After a very successful weekend (3 hires secured 👏), our IT department is still onboarding candidates for the following roles:

These four are clocked in, caffeinated, and wheekly awaiting their official job offers (aka forever homes). Don’t be a guinea big procrastinator—these little squeak-cialists are ready to work their way right into your heart. 💘

🚨🐹 It’s the end of the week… when most IT issues happen—and somehow, they’ve all been surrendered to the shelter. 🐹🚨
So naturally… we’re rolling with the “wheeks.”

THE ADMINISTRATIVE ERRORS DEPARTMENT IS NOW OPEN FOR HIRING

This team of 7 guinea pig ladies have found themselves laid off from their previous positions after some… organizational challenges and are now searching for a new department to call home.

Wallflower quietly waits by the door and hopes you notice her.

This beautiful one-year-old pit mix was surrendered due to poor fencing, and while that chapter of her life has closed, she's still figuring out what comes next. True to her name, Wallflower is shy with new people. Loud rooms and fast movements can make her pause and hang back.

But here's the thing about Wallflower...

Once she decides you're safe? She blooms.

She'll lean into your hand.
She'll give you those soft, searching eyes.
She'll show you the sweetest, gentlest version of herself.

She doesn't give her heart away instantly - and honestly, that just makes it more special when she does. She will need a patient home willing to let her move at her own pace. No rushing. No pressure. Just kindness and consistency.
