You know that feeling when you drag yourself out of work way too late after one of those “is it Friday yet?” days… and then BAM 💥—pure joy hits you in the face?

We spotted one of our favorite alums in the dog park—yep, that’s Mr. Potato Head in the video!

🥔🐾 Romping, zooming, and living his absolute best life with his forever family (plus a temporary fur sibling for bonus fun).

Seeing him healthy, happy, and loved beyond measure was the perfect reminder of why we do what we do. ❤️ From shelter life to park zoomies… this is what it’s all about.

🚨🐾 **WISHLIST WEDNESDAY (we're a day late, but that's because we need help)– AKA “HELP, WE’RE OUT OF STUFF!”** 🐾🚨

Our animals have spoken (loudly, and in surround sound): the shelves are *too* bare, and the humans need backup!

This week’s “must-have” menu includes:

👕 Laundry detergent – the washing machines never sleep.
🐶 Dry puppy food – for our little wigglebutts with bottomless stomachs.
🐱 Canned kitten food – because baby meows are LOUD.
🧽 Bleach – keeps us smelling like a rescue, not a barn.
🫧 Dawn dish soap – for dishes *and* the occasional puppy paw spa.
🪟 Windex – the battle against nose smudges is REAL.

🎉 **Introducing Leona – Your Future BFF with Freckles!** 🐶✨

Leona is a 5-month-old spayed Aussie Cattle Dog mix with a personality that’s 100% lovebug and a speckled coat that looks like it was sprinkled on by the puppy fairy. 💫

She’s currently rocking her “under the weather but still fabulous” era thanks to a mild case of kennel cough—don’t worry, she’s on meds and already bouncing back with tail wags and kisses to spare.

Leona is sweet as pie, silly in the best way, and just the right mix of snuggly and spunky. She’s the kind of pup who will follow you around like a shadow, learn all the tricks (especially if treats are involved), and make every day just a little more fun.

Got a couch? Got a heart? Got snacks? Then you might just be Leona’s perfect match. Come meet your new best friend today—we promise, she's worth the sniff. 💕🐾

🐾 That’s a wrap on this morning’s FREE rabies vaccine clinic! 🐾

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to protect their pets and support the cause. We loved seeing all your furry faces—and yes, even the wiggly ones who weren’t too sure about the whole “vet” thing. 😅

Special shoutout to Mayo on the loose—now known as Miso Soup!—for making a dramatic (and slightly chaotic) appearance. 📸💨

Say goodbye to the dog days of summer at the Pooch Pool Party on Sat., Sep. 6 from 10am-2pm at the Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex.

Bring your dog out for swimming, pet-friendly vendors, low-cost vaccinations, and free pet registration. Dog entry $10, humans free.

Reminder: Only pooches in the pool. No human swimmers.
