This is Winnie. She’s 27 years young and has taught countless young girls how to ride over her lifetime. In late January, she became laminitic on her front hooves especially the right. Her insulin levels had increased and her coffin bones had rotated. A bit scary , frankly. Thanks to Dr. Ron Colton, today was her first day of turnout, off Equioxx for three days now. He prescribed for her a human drug that got her insulin in check. I’m grateful to him for always researching what’s new in his field. Winnie will get back to shoes in a couple weeks. For now, she’s in Cloud Boots with a pair of socks stolen from Richard for the greater good 🤣. She is one happy pony.

My first post in a long time! Meet Argento aka Jento. He is a 4 year old Holsteiner gelding by For Ever Jump, out of a Cassini I dam, Ultra IV, who also has Landgraf I in her bloodlines on her dam's side. This well-balanced, scopey, brave boy is currently 17.1 hands. His personality is gentle, and he is easy to handle for the vet, farrier, anyone. He is absolutely stunning on the ground and under saddle. He definitely turns heads and is unique in that he would be successful in all three rings-Eq, Hunter and Jumper. Congratulations to Jill Kahli and her daughter, Ana, on their purchase of Baja aka Coeur de la Vie! Ana recently won the pony finals in Ocala, Florida. With such a talented pilot, I can’t wait to follow these two! They will train with Wendy Trocano at Wendover Place in Orlando, Florida! Thank you to Michelle Moen for finding my boy such an excellent home!! Baja was bred by Wendy Comstock of Wensleydale Farm in Yamhill, Oregon.

In a couple weeks, Baja will leave for Florida to train and be sold as a hunter. With John Turner away, we are blessed to have Lynnly Nealon helping Eva continue his education until then. This is his second canter jump. He has a good sense as to where to leave the ground and his tempo is very even. Still a little wiggly up the long side but that’s a green horse for you!
