I love this story!
Fun fact about me: I try and go to a shelter once a month (sometimes more,) or sometimes it's just a couple dogs in foster homes waiting to be adopted and I give them a much haircut complete with our best most luxurious upgrades (aloe massage, blueberry facial, pawdicures and if it's possible, a pop of color to grab the eye just long enough to allow the dog to have the chance to win them over with their amazing personality (most dogs who have matting, or aren't groomed like they should be tend to be passed up by potential adopters because they aren't visually eye catching as the younger well groomed dog in the kennel next to them. Sadly, In a lot of cases these dogs never get adopted and end up getting euthanized.
I'm all of my donated grooms these dogs end up being adopted within a few days of the groom and updated photo on their online profiles.
Everyone can make a difference, you do not need a lot of money to change the direction in someone or in my case, pets- lives. How can you make a difference? I challenge you to try to help someone in a way that'll truly make a difference. ❤️
BREAKING : Snoop Dogg quietly walked into a small New York rescue shelter on the brink of closing — with just 48 hours to go before all the dogs inside would be put down.
The bills were overdue. The owner had given up hope. But then, the 48-year-old rapper, entrepreneur, and philanthropist — known for his toughness on stage and surprising compassion off it — walked straight to the back, where an 11-year-old Labrador mix named Buddy lay weak and forgotten.
He knelt down beside him, gently petting his head and whispering softly. Then, standing up, he asked, “How many dogs are here?”
“Thirty-nine,” came the quiet reply.
Snoop Dogg’s voice was calm but full of conviction:
“All 39 dogs deserve a tomorrow.”
The very next day, delivery trucks pulled up outside: new beds, clean flooring, medical supplies, food, and toys. Every kennel was repaired, repainted, and restored. Above each one now hangs a sign that reads:
“Forever home — with love from Snoop Dogg.”
And Buddy? Snoop Dogg adopted him on the spot.
“He’s been waiting too long,” he said with a small smile. “I’m here for him now.”
Snoop Dogg didn’t just save a shelter — he saved 39 beating hearts, giving them hope, dignity, and a future.
A simple act, but with the power to change lives. Snoop Dogg not only saved 39 dogs, but also changed the way we think about kindness.
