Reagor Pet Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital providing quality care for over 25 years in Carmichael, CA and serving the greater Sacramento region. We do general medicine with complete physical exams, behavioral and nutritional counseling as well as a wide range of surgeries. Our veterinarians, technical staff and receptionists are all devoted pet owners themselves. Our goal is to provide you with compassionate, affordable and comprehensive care for the furry members of your family.

One of our beloved patients passed over the Rainbow Bridge last week. Vandy you will forever hold a very special place in our hearts! Your dads wanted to share a few words about her.

Vandy

Today at 11:02am we said good bye to our beloved girl Vandy. This was one of the most difficult decisions we’ve ever made, but one that put her wellbeing and dignity above all else. She came into our lives when we adopted her from the SPCA 9 years ago (she was 2 at the time), and that was the beginning of a beautiful life together which allowed us the opportunity to share some of life’s most precious moments with her: birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and also the day I proposed to my husband. Her soul was kind and sweet and we will always remember her spirit in our home. Some of you know of her struggles with cancer over the past 3.5 years, which through the intercession of the good St. Francis of Assisi she was able to overcome time and time again, until about two weeks ago when things took an unexpected turn. Rather than letting her wither away to an undignified passing, we decided to honor her life and unconditional love for us by letting her go before that transpired.

As difficult as the past 2 weeks have been, and especially today on the day of her departure from this world, we are grateful for the many life experiences and gifts we received from her: unconditional love, companionship, kindness, an appreciation for the little things and many more.

Vandy, your daddies miss you very much, your passing has left a wound in our souls that only God and time will heal. But we want you to know what you will never be forgotten, and we look forward to seeing you once again on the other side when our time comes.
