This is Willie! His Mom is a flight attendant so I've been staying with him quite a bit. He is such a little doll! He has one of those ball throwing machines but he hasn't made the connection to put the ball in the machine so it throws it again. Soooo he gets the ball and holds onto it then I have to wrestle it from him put the ball in the machine and we repeat it all over again and again and so forth. He thinks this is a lot of fun! It is a lot of fun😀

I take care of Pixie quite often. Her favorite place to walk is on the bluff above the beach in Carlsbad. However the other day I was out in her backyard and something large scurried through the bushes. I was hoping it left through the Iron fence at the back. So Miss Pixie has been obsessed with the area where said large critters had been. She goes out to.potty but never makes it as she disappears in the bushes not a sound or movement out of her. She will stay in those bushes for an hour. Not a good thing when its 2-3 in the morning and she needs to go out. I had to resort to shaking the treat jar which fortunately worked. This went on for 3 nights which is unusual for her to want out in the middle of the night. So what do you think her goal was? Find the critter or get treats?

Does fall weather make it more challenging to get your dog outside? Try these tips and tricks for some inside fun:

Stuff your pup’s favorite treats inside a snuffle mat or KONG for some mental stimulation.

•
Set up an indoor obstacle or agility course to burn off extra energy.

•
Create an indoor digging area with blankets, then add treats or toys to turn up the fun.

•
Play classic favorite games like tug or fetch (with soft balls).

•
Brush up on training basics like sit, stay, and down, or teach your dog some new tricks.

1. They dont care how you look, just that you are there!
2. A tail wagging can fix a whole day.
3. You talk to them like they understand
4. And some how they do.
5. Their excitement never gets old.
6. You feel guilty even thinking about leaving them
7. Their fur is everywhere but you dont mind.
8. Sometimes yiu look at them and feel so lucky
9. They make the ordinary feel so special.
10. You love them more than you ever imagined.

What day is it and where am I? Some days that's just how I feel as I go from home to home caring for these amazing dogs. I spent a week with Luca, he is such a fun little guy. He liked to play chase around the house and boy could he wear me out!. Then it was back to Pixie's house, most days we went to the dog park down the street but walked at the beach a couple of times too. I've stayed at her house so much it feels like home. Then it was on to spend time with Molly! Molly's Mom is a dog sitter friend of mine and she went back east to spend time with her family so I'm here caring for Molly who is the best cuddler and wherever we go she loves everyone! Callie and Hildie will be joining.us on Sunday and then there will be 3 for next week so stay tuned for more adventures as Im sure I will be taking all 3 to the duck pond😃

Thought I would check in and let you know how caring dogs in their home as opposed to mine is working out. Right now I'm caring for Felix and it feels kind of like being on vacation (see photos.) Caring for only one dog instead of multiples I get super attached. Dont get me wrong; I was always close with all my little ones but its just a little different. When I leave I feel kind of like Im leaving my dog. Very weird!
The really bad part is I've had to turn down some of my really good clients because Im booked with one dog. It affects my income greatly as well. But Im grateful to be able to spend such quality time with each and every one. We have such a great time they dont really miss their family but make no mistake when they return its a party!

Taking care of Pixie and Charlie at Charlie's house We walked at the lagoon tonight and they are pooped. There is a little bit of room in this chair for me 😅

I went straight from caring for 100lb Sequoia to 11lb Ollie. Ollie is a poodle mix and only 6 months old. Ollie has a big personality but was shy on our first day. He sleeps in a crate at night but was having none of it last night so there was no sleep as he barked and barked then he would fall asleep, refresh and bark again for hours. I didnt want to give into him because then he would think all he had to do was bark to get his way. Soo we are 2 very tired souls today. All I have ate pics of him sleeping so far but I will post a picture of his face when he is up. Wish me luck for tonight😀
