Wendt's Wildlife Adventure, of course!

We begin the 10 day count down for our big Labor Day Weekend Event! Each day we will share with you another fun activity or feature we will have during the event.

Today, we are excited to announce that we will have both sloth and capybara experiences available on Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday of Labor Day weekend!

🤎Enjoy a 20 minute session with the sloths or capys
🤎Limit 4 people per session
🤎$45 per person
🤎Minimum age 8 years old
🤎Children ages 8-15 must be accompanied by an adult with same session ticket
🤎Level of interaction is determined by the animals
🤎Photos and videos encouraged
🤎General admission is required but not included in the experience price
🤎Tickets are non-refundable
🤎Payment of experience tickets must be made at time of reservation request.

📞If you think you want to do, it is HIGHLY recommended that you call ahead to book your time slot. Tickets are limited each day. 859-405-8065

🦥Meet the baby sloth, snuggle with a capybara, or enjoy a bunch of really happy parakeets!

Are you interested in an experience with the sloths or capys? Call ahead to book your reservation. It's a special time you won't soon forget!

Maybe you just want to stroll around and visit with the 35 different species we have here. Stop for lunch in the Cafe or a cool treat! 🌭🍦🍋

Dig into a little history by visiting Daniel Boone's cabin.🌲

Let the kids spend their energy in the playground, exploring the stream, mining for gems, or interacting with the animals.

It's going to be a gorgeous weekend...come on out!

UPDATE: 💡Power has been restored! Helmets and lanterns are put away but we are still ready for fun! Come on out and see us on this beautiful day! ☀️

POWER OUTAGE!! There is a power outage here at WWA. We don’t know when to expect the power to be restored so for now, we are going to stay open. BUT, we have no internet to run the registers so please bring cash if you choose to come today. Cookie’s Cafe will NOT be open during the power outage.

Thankfully our crew was ready for this with our WWA lanterns & head lamps!!

💎Gem mining in the creek-pick up a bag of gem mining rough from gift shop
🧑‍🎨Games and Art-Cornhole, Snakes and Ladders, Sidewalk Chalk

Look no further! Our staff would be happy to mix in your surplus of garden fresh veggies and fruits! Homegrown and pesticide free is our favorite!

You can drop off your excess fruits and veggies anytime Wed-Sun between 10 am and 5 pm.

Lola, Sunshine, Charlie and the 3 month old baby are looking for YOU!
They are watching the Capybara siblings soak up all the attention with the experiences. The capys get loved on, fed special treats, pose for pictures, and fulfill a bucket list item of so many people.

While our sweet sloths watch on...

Wait...what new babies, you ask? 🤔
🫣Two cuties that are starting to get curious and sneak a peek at our guests!

Come on out for a visit and see if you can figure out where these new babies are hiding.

What is Wendt’s Wildlife?

Wendt’s Wildlife Adventure & Safari is a brand-new experience never before seen in Kentucky. Wendt’s Wildlife provides a safe-and-clean environment for anyone and everyone to interact with rare and exotic animals like Kangaroos, Camels, Ostriches and White Buffalo.

Located on the Wendt Family farm in Carlisle, KY, we will have many activities for family fun including an indoor zoo/educational center, an interactive outdoor zoo, playground and picnic areas, a gift shop, and the home of Daniel Boone’s cabin! Come by and join the fun!
