Sherlock is pleased to report that the lizard sanctuary remains active and under constant surveillance. While today’s cooler temperatures are a welcome change, he has determined that conditions are still unsuitable for a dog park expedition. Therefore, he has shifted operations to his backyard patrol route, where every rock, bush, and suspicious lizard movement receives his full attention.

The tiny lizards may think they’re hiding, but Sherlock knows better. He remains on duty, ever vigilant, protecting his territory one lizard sighting at a time. 🦎🐶

Tomorrow’s forecast: 50% chance of lizard monitoring, 50% chance of squeaky ball patrol, and a 100% chance of Sherlock being convinced he’s in charge. Sharon Jones

Tyche is a rescue kitty, and with rescue pets, you never really know their story or what they may have endured before finding their forever home. Building trust takes time, patience, and letting them move at their own pace.

I’ve been very patient with Tyche, and today I was rewarded with a special moment. Seeing a rescue pet begin to trust, greet you, and seek affection is one of the greatest gifts. Moments like these remind me that patience, kindness, and consistency truly make a difference. It’s always rewarding when a rescue cat chooses to take that next step toward trust. Those small moments often mean a lot more than they appear on the surface. Sharon Jones

Tyche greeted me this morning and graciously allowed me to admire him for a few moments. Then he reminded me that there was a much more important matter at hand—his Churu. Apparently, affection is nice, but breakfast is serious business. Once his Churu was served, my status quickly dropped from beloved visitor to ordinary human. 😸💕 Sharon Jones

Kiwi was very affectionate when I arrived and immediately reminded me that I am her favorite treat dealer. Her mission for the day was simple: deliver the Churu. I successfully completed my assignment, and just like that, my importance in her world dropped dramatically. Until tomorrow, when the treat dealer returns and I become her favorite person all over again. 😹💕 Sharon Jones

Kiwi and Tyche are both rescue kitties, and we’ve made incredible progress together over time. There was a time when they would hide from me, but now they come out to visit and enjoy their treats. Building trust with rescue cats takes patience, consistency, and lots of love, which makes moments like these even more rewarding.
