Yesterday we were very honored to deliver the donations we received to the Humane Society that were collected during our Holiday Charity Drive. Thank you to all who donated! The Humane Society is always so grateful for the donations. If you missed our Charity Drive, but would still like to donate please drop the items off at either our office and we will ensure they are delivered, or donations may be made directly to the Humane Society.

LOOKING FOR A LOVE-A-BULL HOME!!

I was found on the streets of DeSoto on August 18th.

When I was found, I was scared, skinny, had an ear infection, intestinal parasites and horrible skin due to allergies and infections that weren’t managed.

I’m estimated to be between 4-6 years old. I currently am not neutered, and I do have Heartworm Disease. Spears will neuter me and I will undergo Heartworm treatment before I find my forever home.

I’m currently named Eeyore due to the sad demeanor I had when I was first rescued. I am shy at first, but don’t let that fool you! After I get to know you, I love to give kisses and there’s no such thing as too many hugs!

Sam tells me I’m a very special boy so I can’t go home with just anyone. I need a home that will love & care well for me this time around, as pit bulls are often victims of abusive homes.

I’m great with kids that treat animals with kindness, and ok with most dogs, but so far, I’m not fond of cats.

A current vet check will be done with any possible adopter to ensure I go to a wonderful home.

This year we are very excited to announce that we will be doing a Holiday Donation Drive for both St Francis Care and The Humane Society of Southern Illinois!! There are so many things we can do as a community to encourage and help these facilities that work so tirelessly for us all. Below are the lists of items most needed by both facilities, and monetary donations are also greatly appreciated 🙂 Please drop off your donations to our Spears office by the morning of Thursday, December 22, and we will deliver the donations Thursday afternoon, December 22. Ho Ho Ho!

Although it’s only December 1st, Sam is already in the Christmas spirit. She will be dressed up frequently from now until Christmas. If you come in during a “Samta period” feel free to ask for a photo with your pet(s) at no charge! If you’d like you may call ahead of time to ensure “Samta” is in the office!

This very sweet, calm and docile kitty is looking for her forever home! She was found in our parking lot on Monday. We estimate her to be around 4 months old. She’s the best snuggler anyone could ask for! A client has generously offered to pay for her first round of vaccines as well as her spaying.
