🐾💖 Wrinkle Squad Goals 💖🐾
Keanen + Imani + two tiny micro-bullies = way too much cuteness for one room. 🥰 These little tanks came in for their wellness checks, and between the endless wrinkles, squishy faces, and extra lovey skin, our hearts just about exploded. 💥🐶
Micro-bullies might be short and stout, but they’ve got personalities that fill the whole room. 🤩 Equal parts lovable goofball and professional couch potato, these pups are happiest when snuggled up, soaking in all the attention (and looking ridiculously adorable while doing it).
Both of these sweet, wrinkly nuggets checked out perfectly healthy ✅ and will soon be heading to their new homes — where we’re sure they’ll spend 90% of their time on the couch, and 10% waddling to the food bowl. 🛋️🍗
✨ “Some dogs are born to run… micro-bullies are born to recline.” ✨

🐾 Meet Aio (pronounced iO if anyone is interested), one of our newest (and fluffiest) patients at Alpine Animal Hospital! 💙

Yes, you read that right — Aio is a long-haired Dalmatian! 🐶⚪️⚫️

Wait... long-haired Dalmatian?! Is that even a thing? 🤔

👉 It is — but it's incredibly rare! The long coat comes from a double recessive gene, which means both of her parents had to carry and pass on the same hidden gene in order for Aio to rock her luscious locks. While this fluffy version of the Dalmatian isn’t recognized by the AKC, we can confirm: she is 100% adorable. 😍

Aio came in because her mom noticed she was bleeding from a toenail. Thankfully, it turned out to be a simple torn nail that looked like it was preparing to fall off on its own. We treated it conservatively, sent her home with a little something to ease any discomfort, and she handled the whole thing like a pro. 🩺🐾

She had the softest coat, the sweetest manners, and showed off some pretty impressive tricks. ✨ Her mom also speaks to her in Italian so there is no confusion about with her commands when they are in a crowd. She was attentive to her mom, polite with the team, and won us all over within seconds.

We can’t wait to see Aio again-whether it's for a checkup or just to say hi. She is the kind of pup that makes your day better just by walking through the door. 💕🐶

🎉 Say hello to our newest team member, Nyeli! From the moment she walked through our doors, Nyeli has been an absolute rockstar. 🌟 Her energy is contagious, her smile lights up the room, and her kindness knows no bounds. She's the kind of person who will drop everything to help a teammate — even when her plate is already full.

She’s compassionate, funny, endlessly curious, and already so invested in making sure our patients get nothing but the very best care. 🙌🐾

We’re in awe that she’s only been here a few weeks — because it already feels like she’s been part of the Alpine Animal Hospital family forever. We can’t wait to see what kind of powerhouse she becomes in the months ahead. 💪❤️

📸 P.S. She's pictured here with sweet little Caspian, who came in for his neuter and stole everyone’s hearts while he was at it. 😍🐶 Just look at that face!

Welcome to the team, Nyeli! We’re so lucky to have you. 🐾💙

Meet Cassie, a 12.5-year-old Golden Retriever with a heart of gold and a face we all adore! 💛🐶 Cassie came in to see us after her family noticed a lump developing just beneath her eye—and it had started to grow in size. Given the tricky location and the limited skin in that area, Dr. Gisleson recommended removing the mass to ensure clean margins and make healing as smooth as possible. ✂️🧼

As you can see in the photos, we carefully clipped and cleaned the area, and Dr. Gisleson skillfully excised the mass, placed some sutures, and added a little ice to help minimize swelling around her sweet face. 🧊💉

We sent the mass off for analysis and it came back as cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma—but here's the good news: the tumor was successfully removed, and the likelihood of it returning or spreading is very low! 🙌 While the pathologist noted the margins were a bit tight, we’ve been closely monitoring her and there’s been no sign of regrowth in the months since her procedure. 🎉🐾

Cassie has healed beautifully and is thriving—just like any happy, spirited 12.5-year-old Golden should! We’re so glad she’s doing so well and we can’t wait to see her again soon for her annual wellness visit. 🩷💪

Way to go, Cassie girl! 💕

🎉 Happy 16-Year Work Anniversary to Cheryl! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating someone incredibly special—Cheryl, who joined Alpine Animal Hospital 16 years ago and has been an essential part of our team ever since. 🐾

Cheryl was originally hired as a technician—and let’s be honest, she rocked it from day one. With her sharp instincts, incredible work ethic, and ability to anticipate what needs to be done (often before anyone even realizes it!), she’s always made the impossible seem effortless.

Over the years, Cheryl has grown into her role as our phenomenal Practice Manager, leading with grace, passion, and a whole lot of heart. She’s wicked smart, ridiculously resourceful, and endlessly supportive—making sure our team is taken care of, our hospital runs smoothly, and that we’re always delivering the best possible care to our patients and clients. 🏥💙

Whether she’s making sure our hospital is up to the highest standards, helping us reach our goals, or just quietly handling everything behind the scenes, Cheryl keeps this place going—and keeps us all going, too.

Cheryl, thank you for 16 years of dedication, leadership, and heart. We are so grateful for you and everything you do. Here’s to many more amazing years ahead! 💐🐶🐱

Meet CJ, a sweet and spirited Golden Retriever who gave her family (and our team!) quite the scare. She came to see Dr. Robinson with a large lump on the side of her abdomen. When Dr. Robinson first examined her, she could feel something firm and poking inside the lump—definitely not your typical abscess. That’s when CJ’s family remembered she had gotten into a bunch of kabobs several weeks ago, sticks and all. 🍢😬 So we moved forward with sedation to explore further.

🎥 In the first video, you’ll see the moment we made an incision into the abscess—and we pulled out a wooden kabob stick with what appeared to be a piece of meat still attached. 😱🍖 To our surprise, the kabob had perforated her stomach, migrated through the abdomen, and become lodged along her body wall. Miraculously, it missed her major organs—no injury to her liver, spleen, or kidneys. A true stroke of luck. 🍀💛

We quickly realized CJ needed a more extensive procedure under anesthesia. During surgery, Dr. Gisleson performed a gastrectomy to remove the section of CJ’s stomach that had adhered to the body wall. Then, Dr. Robinson did a gastrotomy to explore her stomach further—and found not one, not two, but three more wooden kabob sticks still inside. 😱🫣🪵

CJ is now recovering like the brave rockstar she is! 🌟 She’s home, healing well, and we’ve all agreed on a new house rule: kabobs are for humans only—meat and veggies only, no sticks allowed! 😉

We’re so grateful CJ is okay—and so proud of our team for the quick action, collaboration, and care that saved her life. 💕🐾
