This is Shoveler and he would really, really like a home! He needs one with some patience, as he's got a bit of energy for his 6 year old self. He likes playing and loves attention. He did well with a younger dog when we let him play together but it took a few times for him to get used to it and then he was happy to tear around the yard. We're not sure how he'd do with cats but didn't seem to mind younger kids (school age).

He's current on his vaccines, heartworm prevention and is neutered.

We've decided to be closed today. The roads could be worse but when combined with the windchill (it's in the negative teens) today we felt it was better to have staff and clients stay home if possible. And if you know our driveway, it's a little bit of a bu**er with snow. 🙂

Stay home and cozy if you can, if you have to out and about, be safe. We'll be back in the office Monday!

Pictured is Wally. He's a senior dog at the clinic looking for a new home to cuddle him. He's pretty good with other dogs but may chase cats.

We're not sure if we'll be open tomorrow. We'll likely have to assess in the morning as weather happens or doesn't and we determine the safety for our staff.

We will post here as soon as we know and let our answering service know then too. If you call you can always ask if it's the clinic or our answering service and they'll let you know. We hope everyone stays warm this weekend!

We will be open until noon tomorrow and closed Thursday, January 1. We'll be open normal hours, Friday, January 2.

We're here and open but don't hesitate to call and reschedule your appt if you're not comfortable coming to see us in the snow. We all know how it is with the first snow of the season! ❄️😁❄️ Be careful with our driveway if you're coming.

We still have these 2 cuties available for adoption! They're vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered and ready for a home. They're not a duo and actually don't know each other. 😀

The black and white one (we call him Sam) is about 1-2 years old and should be ok with other dogs but don't know for sure. Shoveler (the terrier) is 5 yr old and may do better with an older dog, relaxed dog, or solo. EDIT: was reminded they do well with older kids (one of our staff brought in her older kids and we allowed them to interact and both dogs did well).

Do you recognize this dog? Is it yours?

This pup was dropped off over Labor Day weekend from Overbrook. There was a collar but no tag and no microchip.

If you recognize them, give us a call to ID. We'd like to get them back home!

We will be closed this weekend through Monday, Sept 1, for a Labor Day.

We will be open this Friday, August 29, and back in the office, September 2.

This is Shoveler! He needs a new home! He was very loved in his other home but due to some health issues we need to help find him a new family to love. This young man is 5 years old and has a lot of energy. He weighs 33 pounds and is most likely a terrier mix. He's a fairly happy boy with lots of energy to burn. He needs some additional training for basics but is house-trained. He's a bit stressed with his changes so may take some time with all the adjustments to get his new routine but likely will do well. Because of his excessive energy he gets a little anxious but we think with good training, or lots of playtime, he'll settle pretty well. May not do well in an apartment unless really active owners or gets a lot of playtime.

He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and flea/tick and heartworm prevention. He's free to a good home! Give us a call to meet him and see if he'd be a good fit at 785-836-7212.
