She’s back!!!!

We're excited to welcome Elizabeth Lutz, DVM, MS, DACVO, Board-Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist, to Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital beginning July 15.

Dr. Lutz brings extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, from vision changes and cataracts to more complex ophthalmic diseases and injuries.

To make advanced eye care even more accessible, Dr. Lutz will see patients at two convenient locations:
📍 Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting
📍 Hickory Veterinary Primary Care in Ambler once weekly

We're proud to expand access to specialized ophthalmology care and look forward to helping even more pets see and feel their best. 💙

Appointments are now available beginning July 15.

Steamtown Veterinary Center Update!

We know it’s been a little while since our last update, and we wanted to let everyone know that construction is continuing to move forward and we are now aiming for an August 1, 2026 opening!
(Pending our occupancy permit!)

We are incredibly excited to bring 24/7 emergency, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, and hospitalization services to pets and families throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

There have been plenty of challenges and delays along the way, but seeing everything finally come together has us more excited than ever. We cannot thank our future clients, local veterinary community, friends, family, and supporters enough for their patience and encouragement throughout this journey.

Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing more photos as well as some behind the scenes updates. We will also be posting some staff introductions and information about the services we’ll be offering.

We can’t wait to open our doors and serve the pets of our community!

Found male black cat near Reynshanhurst in Carbondale. Scanned, no microchip. But VERY friendly and definitely belongs to someone. Trying to get into the house of the wonderful people who brought him here, but they have other cats and aren’t in the area all winter. Hoping to either find his original home or a new loving home!

Young male collie found on Washington Street in Carbondale. Found with green harness. Very friendly.

Will be safe with the people who found him until someone claims him.

Clients who found him will contact local police and shelters in case someone is looking for him.
