The Retired Racehorse Project announced today that the Thoroughbred Makeover will return to the Kentucky Horse Park for its eighth year October 11th-14th, 2023.

Take The Lead Inc is currently working to try to save this horse who presents with a catastrophic case of white line disease. This disease is totally manageable had it been treated when first identified. This horse will now face about a year rehab (if we are lucky) before new healthy hoof is grown out.

Our very first rehab that we did as a partner for TFH, Cotton Valley is living his best life with his adopter Janelle. Cotton had a rough start to his retirement and we actually took him back for a while to help his adopter with some hoof issues. We are so happy she was able to offer him a home after we helped get his feet together.
