🚨 News Alert 🚨

Wow, what a whirlwind these last almost two months have been for me and my family. It has definitely been an emotional roller coaster ride for sure. As I write to you, it is with much appreciation and gratitude that I tell you “I am officially back to grooming.” For however long that may be, I don’t know. God has a plan and purpose for my life, and right now I am walking each and every day by faith. He gifted me with the talent and ability to do what I’ve done for the last 15 yrs and for that I am grateful.

With that being said, you can find me at Groomer’s Corner in Cape (Monday-Friday) being the plan for now. I will be offering grooming services for dogs that are 40lbs and under. All pricing of services will be based upon Groomer’s Corners rates, and payment will be accepted in the form of cash or check at this time (directly to me).

If you would like to text or call in regards to setting up an appointment with me, you may reach me at 5738037797 between the hours of 730a-330p (Monday-Friday).

It’s with much appreciation that I must reach out and let you know that I have made a BIG decision to close Dusty’s Dog House in the very near future. (I am still working out the final details on the exact date, but I am aiming for the end of this upcoming week.)

My other groomer Candy recently had to take a leave from work due to some unforeseen health issues, this has left me understaffed and overly busy. I am spending 10+ hours most days 5 days a week at the shop just to try and keep up. Being in this condition, I am unfortunately not making any $ due to the overhead bills that I have at the shop. I haven't been able to find the help that I need, therefore I recently applied for another job which I was offered and have accepted.

I have to do what's best at the end of the day for me, my wife, and two daughters. My new job will have more of a set schedule and alleviate a lot of work related stress that comes from trying to own, operate, and run a pet grooming business.

I am referring all of my current clients to (Sissy) at Groomer's Corner in Cape Girardeau (573-803-1020), she has been grooming 25-30 + years. Sissy is my stepfather's sister.

I hope you can respect and understand the decision I have had to make. Your support has been very much appreciated and a blessing to me and my family. Thank you for everything, as I turn a new page on this journey called life.

Hey everyone, my wife and I are participating in a Mini Scavenger Hunt Drive on July 24th to help benefit Best Friends Animal Society 🐶. I have created a fundraiser page to help raise $ for the BFAS if you feel in your heart that you would like to contribute to such a great cause towards no kill shelters.

Since it was founded in 1984, Best Friends Animal Society has helped reduce the number of dogs and cats killed in shelters nationwide from 17 million per year to 625,000. That's incredible progress, but it means more than 1,700 dogs and cats are still being killed in America's shelters every day, simply because they don't have safe places to call home. That number should be zero. When you donate, you'll be helping around 1,600 dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, horses, and other barnyard animals who on any given day reside at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Plus, you'll be helping to save the lives of homeless pets all across the country through lifesaving adoption and spay/neuter programs, no-kill initiatives, and more. Thank you for donating to help save animals' lives.

The goal is clear: to end the killing of dogs and cats in Americas animal shelters and bring the country to no-kill by the year 2025. Best Friends believes the best way to accomplish this is by building lifesaving programs and partnerships across the nation. What better community to champion this cause than the MINI community?
MINI has partnered with Best Friends since 2013, raising both awareness and funds through local Strut Your Mutt events and most recently a MINI Pup-up adoption event in NYC.
