Partay at my house this weekend!! 🥳

Do not try this at home unless you have been trained to administer. As a maine c**n breeder, we frequently have to learn to do things that must be done after hours, at 2am or on weekends when vets offices are closed. As a nurse who is comfortable with needles and fluids in general, I do not like sticking little kittens with needles. Never will. Sometimes its a matter of life or death so its a skill that I must have.

MDR1 Sensitivity has become a hot topic lately as it is popping up more on genetic screening tests. Here is some information about the gene. Some cats carry 1 copy and should not have the medication Sensitivity. Some carry 2 and most likely will. Its important to notify your Vet and any clinic, hospital etc when seeking treatment for your cat if he/she is a carrier so that certain medications can be avoided. Think of this as a medication allergy like you or I have and if we take a med we are allergic to, we will potentially have an allergic reaction. I now have 1 cat who is a carrier and labeled his chart with a red sticker noting MDR1 Sensitivity.
