Rescue Cat Destined for Love
Hello! I’m Gillian, the happiest cat in the whole world! I am a rescue kitty that spent my kitten years without a home. But now I have a human daddy and a human mommy and a little cat brother, Oliver! My hobbies include watching birds and squirrels, and the occasional possum or deer in my backyard, and eating. Sometimes I like to play with string and lasers, but my favorite toys are my kangaroos!
I LOVE to be brushed! Some kitties hate it, but I can’t get enough brushing. Whenever Mommy brushes me, Oliver steals my fur and walks away with it. Daddy said he’s knitting a sweater, but I’ve never seen Oliver with knitting needles. :-(
My life started out in a not-so-happy way. I was an orphan in Kentucky and brought to an animal orphanage in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. I lived in a cage for weeks and weeks, getting little sleep because of all the loud dogs barking constantly! Then one day, a human came, and she liked my name!
She said her last name was “Gill” and that we were meant to be friends. But then she left... a few days later she came back, and we played, and she left again. The third time I saw her, she was with another “Gill” who would become my human daddy that day! They took me to their home and fed me and gave me toys. I fell asleep for almost three days straight because I was just so tired. That was five years ago, and I’m just so happy I don’t have to live in a cage anymore!
