If you are still in need of records please reach out via email to [email protected]. This is a different email address than previously used. The server has changed locations and to w**d through what has been sent and has not, this would help expedite request. They can email vaccine records, but larger patient files may require picking up printed copies. Thank you.

The server being used to send out records is only able to send out one record at a time.
Please email [email protected] if you’re having issues receiving or viewing the records that have been sent to you.

just to make a correction on that last post, the girls were emailing them, but I think a lot of them were so long that you guys didn’t get the entire chart is what I think happened. That’s why we keep getting people asking for their records again so I apologize we’re going through all of it all over again

I am so sorry for the delay. We are working so hard. It’s just myself and one other person and it’s a very long process. It’s not as easy as just clicking the button unfortunately this computer system is very convoluted so each one of you takes about five minutes to do. I’ll probably be here all weekend doing them if I can I’m trying my best I promise.

it can only be done from one computer and the server is now at my new place of employment. Miranda, how do I post this? I know you’re doing this.

Beginning Wednesday, October 22nd, Amanda will no longer be donating her time to send medical record services, and Kim will cease donating her time to work on prescriptions. If you would like to stop by and thank these 2 ladies for the long hours they have donated to help get as many records out and prescriptions taken care of. Stop by today before 5:30 pm or tomorrow from 9am until 4pm.

We appreciate your understanding as these responsibilities are transitioned to Dr. Cox. In the interim, our Pet Desk App allows you to access and print your pet's vaccine history. The vaccine certificate contains the necessary information for other hospitals, boarding facilities, groomers, and daycare centers. If you don't have our app, you can visit our website to download it from the Our App section. Please be aware that due to the high volume of record requests, processing times may be extended. We kindly ask for your patience as Dr. Cox will handle these requests individually after tomorrow.

Important information about October 21st & 22nd. If your pet needs any kind of prescription or refill, it must be ordered by tomorrow night. We will only have 1 person donating her time to work on them Monday and Tuesday this week. Go ahead and place ALL of your online orders. No exams will be done during this time, and no medical records will be handed out. ALL records are being emailed.

Yesterday, we made significant strides in dispatching records, thanks to Dr. Cox and her friend. Kim also addressed online prescription requests, enabling us to work efficiently. We appreciate your patience as we prioritize expediting record distribution. The unexpected closure of Island Pet Veterinary Hospital has caused a stir within the community and staff. Dr. Cox made the bold decision to close due to unsustainable overhead costs. We value the trust you have placed in Dr. Cox and her staff over the years. Unfortunately, some have chosen to speak negatively about us. We are grateful for those who continue to support and encourage us during this challenging period. Dr. Cox has a proven track record of saving numerous pets and identifying rare medical conditions. Her expertise has been invaluable. Dr. Cox has joined Arendell Animal Hospital in Morehead City, where she will work alongside Dr. Hawkes. She is impressed by his expertise and techniques. Dr. Cox and Miranda our lead tech got to witness an artificial insemination procedure, a service frequently requested at Island Pet. We recommend following Dr. Cox to Arendell Animal Hospital for this service. 😮 Thank you for your patience, understanding and support, Amanda

I would like to express my gratitude to everyone for their patience regarding the sending of pet records. I assure you that I am working at maximum capacity. Due to an influx of emails, texts, and voicemails, my primary focus is on sending medical histories for each family's pet. Please note that some patient records may require up to 10 minutes to load due to the extensive number of visits. To optimize efficiency, I am utilizing a secondary computer to send records while the primary computer is loading. However, the process remains time-consuming. We have numerous pet families with over five pets, which can take up to an hour to send one family's records, while others may require less than two minutes. Unfortunately, printing records will not expedite the process. I want to assure you that I am working diligently to ensure everyone receives their records as soon as possible. Due to the high volume of incoming calls, I would only be able to answer and place callers on hold, without being able to return to them promptly. Fortunately, Dr. Cox and one of her friends will be joining me in the office to assist with sending records. I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
Sincerely,
Amanda

Since the announcement of our closure. We are experiencing a high volume of emails, text, and calls from owners and other hospitals requesting records. They are being worked on by a staff member who is donating her personal time sending them.

If your pet had bloodwork or testing done recently, please don't worry. Your pet’s results are being reviewed by a provider as they come in to take care of them for you. They will reach out to you soon. Thank you for understanding.

Please be patient and use ONLY

[email protected]

When requesting them. This is the main email address located on our website, front door, and sent in a mass email. Our goal is to send every owner their pets records. Due to the number of clients we have expect this to take some time. It's the ONLY email address we will be answering for records and prescriptions for all clients. It takes longer for her to check multiple email accounts for the clinic. We appreciate your cooperation by following these instructions.

It may take several days before you get them due to the number of clients we have. So please be patient.

To speed up the process, please send only 1 request. If you request more than once, it will take even longer to get them.

We also have 1 staff member who is donating her personal time working on the prescription request taken care of. We will be reaching out to those who requested prescriptions and written prescription with a day and time you can pick them up. These two ladies, thank you for your patience.

Dr. Cox would like to thank everyone who has reached out to her personally. As this has come as a surprise and shock to everyone. Know It was a very difficult decision for Dr. Cox to make. Unfortunately, our overhead was too high, and she couldn't afford to keep the practice open any longer. Dr. Cox held onto hope as long as she could. The staff honored her by continually working to keep things afloat and waiting until they had approval to release the clinic closing. Dr. Cox didn't mean for anyone to be frantic about getting their records. Furthermore, she wasn't expecting her staff to gain employment elsewhere so quickly. This is why patients can't be seen. Dr. Cox is doing as good but is still heartbroken. Please keep her in your thoughts.
