Mystery's Haven, Inc.

Mystery's Haven, Inc. We are a 501c3 group that provides TNR, outreach, food, and other help needed for local cats. ALL donations go directly to the cats.

Seeing so many animals in our area in need and the overwhelming number of feral cats, we started helping by providing TNR, vet care and sterilization to those in need. Our mission is to slow down the ever-growing feral cat population in our area by getting as many cats spayed and neutered as possible to stop the breeding cycle. We provide food and shelter for several feral cat colonies as well as

providing food to their caretakers. All donations are used to have local cats spayed and neutered, fed, and provide them medical care. We often have special needs cats that need ongoing medical care, surgeries, and extensive medical treatments. This is the wild kitten that we think was dumped at our house. We named her Princess Leia. She is doing really great and loves to be pet now. She still gets spooked really easily and freaks out if you try to pick her up but she has come a long way already from hissing and trying to run up the walls. She starts purring as soon as you touch her now ❤️ She gets her booster shots in a few weeks then just waiting for her spay appointment. We are hopeful her shyness will keep dissapating 🤞She and baby Sabine are bunked up together now. They are kind of indifferent to eachother but we keep trying to encourage play. We will do an update on pretty little Sabine later.

Odessa giving me a little warning not to come any closer. She acts like she hates me, yet here she is sleeping less than a foot away from me in my office, ha. I am on to you girl. She came to us two years ago after a good samaritan trapped her outside during an extremely cold snap because she had an open wound on her face and both ears were frostbitten. She still wants us to think she's feral, but all of the places to lay and she chooses so close to me. ❤️

When it’s cold and snowy people don’t think about Trap Neuter Return. Think again!

In February and March, the majority of females are in heat or already pregnant. In March you’ll start seeing kittens come around that survived being born in February.

The time to learn and get active is now. Making appointments, borrowing traps, getting cats on feeding schedules, trap training, preparing a holding/recovery space. This all takes time. You'll be happy you started now.

First step? Get trained.

All About Animals Rescue offers free training online or in-person in Warren. Attendees of the in-person training can purchase a copy of Neighborhood Cats TNR Training Handbook for $10. A terrific resource touching on all things community cat.

Once trained, you’ll be AAAR certified meaning you’re entitled to discounted TNR surgery with us. $25 includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine and eartip; a $30 savings.

Can’t make one of our classes? You can still learn and get AAAR certified. Join Neighborhood Cats and Community Cats Podcast's online class for $10 and watch it again anytime for up to a year.

Have you heard of trap training cats? It helps you secure the cats on a schedule and makes the whole process easier for you, and the kitties! You'll learn more about this in training.

This Sunday, you can join us in Warren for in-person training. December 14, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm. Or register for the next online training - December 21, 2025; 2 pm – 5 pm.
Find out how to register for training here: https://allaboutanimalsrescue.org/stray-cats/tnr-training-and-events/

See you soon!

Because of very generous and kind people, we have the 5 spay/neuters on Friday covered, and $1200 towards the past due balance at the vet. Since it's Tuesday, we are asking for $2 Tuesday donations to keep helping to pay the balance down and the upcoming surgeries 🤞🐈‍⬛

Hello fellow cat lovers!

We have a balance of $1940 currently at our vet, Animal Hospital of Lakeport.

Winnie (Puzzle) still needs her 4th surgery - the leg amputation, after she has a little time to heal from the first three surgeries. We also have Mr. Noodles going in to be neutered and Ginny going in to be spayed and correct an umbilical hernia.

In addition, we also have 5 cats going to All About Animals on Friday to be spayed/ neutered and vaccines. 4 kitties that were brought inside at one location, and 1 kitty being brought inside from another location. These kitties are a little more expensive because they are not tnr cats (no ear tip).

Here is the breakdown:

Past due balance $1940 (Puzzle, Mr. Noodles, Sabine, Georgia, Maxine) Bills will be in the comments.

5 cats spay/neuter December 12 : $450
Puzzle's leg amputation: $800
Mr. Noodles neuter/steroid injection: $200
Ginny's Spay/Hernia surgery : $400
Leia & Sabine's vaccines/checkup: $100

$3890 needed just to get through December! January should be much less expensive as currently we only have 4 spay/neuters at our regular vet and 5 at the low cost clinic. Let's pray for no emergencies!

Most urgent is the $450 needed for Friday's 5 appointments as that has to paid at the time of service, and also the $1940 past due amount at Animal Hospital of Lakeport.

If anyone can help, we (and the cats/their caretakers) will be forever grateful 🙏

✅️$450 of $450 for Friday's 5 appointments
$1215 of $1940 past due vet bills
$73 of $1500 upcoming surgeries

*Any funds raised through the donate button on this post will be applied to the upcoming surgeries as the funds take a bit of time to process and be transferred to us.

Thank you for your support!

Here are the 4 kitties that went to the clinic yesterday. Jason just picked them up from Flint and returned them to their homes. The black kitty has an indoor home now, and the other 3 have a wonderful heated garage they went back to. Grumpy, the gray cat had some issues going on. He got some medications and had the worst of the mats cut out. Their lives will be better now.

We are so extremely tired of being taken advantage of and our time and spay/neuter appointments being wasted. From now on we are going to have no choice but to require a $25 non refundable deposit, per cat, if we make an appointment for you. If you don't show up with the cat(s), YOU are out $25. You will also be required to sign a document stating if our equipment isn't returned you owe us the full cost for it. We can't afford to keep replacing $100 traps. Just to clarify, this is not in regards to cats being uncooperative, this is people just flat out not even attempting to trap the cats for their appointments.

The ungratefulness is astounding. We give people cat food, help with medications, vet bills, heated outdoor cat shelter, and just continue to get crapped on.

Sorry that there has to be a few bad apples that ruin it for everyone.

We don't get paid to do this. We would much rather be doing other things.

Thank you so much to whomever paid $500 to our vet today! We are so appreciative 💚🐈‍⬛

We forgot to take pictures of the cats that went to the clinic this morning to get fixed and vaccines, but we will get pics in the morning at pick up. Wish them well today!
