FOSTER SPOTLIGHT:
Meet sisters Macchiato and Latte!
Rescued from the Dumas shelter out of a litter of 7 slated for euthanasia, these two girls are ready for a forever home of their own!
These girls have livened up our foster home and have brought such a playful energy we hadn’t experienced in some time! See their separate descriptions below:
Latte 🐶:
Latte (red) continues to thrive in foster care and is growing like a w**d! Latte is a sweet girl with very expressive eyes but a more independent personality. She likes to be included in group play time, but is not afraid to take a toy and have individual play time as well. Often times you will see Latte carrying things around such as food bowls, socks, and shoes! She easily redirects when her “toys” are taken away and a more appropriate option is provided. She gets along great with dogs of various sizes and has learned to respect the resident cats. She is especially sweet with kids of all ages 🥰 She has improved tremendously with learning not to jump on people and even knows that she needs to sit before her meals are placed in front of her. Once she learns a routine, she is very good about going where you direct her to and settles right down to sleep. She is still working on perfecting house training, but continues to make small improvements with a good routine and discipline. Latte has recently started going on walks on her harness and is improving in her heeling each time!
Latte has a cute and spunky personality where she will be a loyal companion to her family!
Macchiato 🐶:
Macchiato (blk/brwn/wht) continues to thrive in foster care and is growing like a w**d (she is going to be a BIG girl once fully grown!)! Macchiato is a sweet girl with some impressive big ears and has a confident personality. She likes to be included in group play time with her sister and other resident dogs of various sizes. She also gets along with the resident cats and loves to play with the foster kittens. She has improved tremendously with learning not to jump on people and even knows to sit before her meals are placed in her reach! Macchiato is still perfecting house training, but does will with a routine and improves with discipline. When it is time for bed, she knows exactly where we ask her to be and settles right down to sleep. Macchiato has recently been introduced to walks in her harness and tends to go at a slower pace that needs a little encouragement 🙂
Macchiato is a fun and loveable girl that any family would be lucky to have!
Both girls are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed! They will both be at Petco tomorrow 11/1 with Rebel Animal Rescue from 2-4pm so stop by and see if they are a good fit for your family! ❤️
