Was it an overreactionIs it an overreaction to pack up and start a new life, thousands of miles away because of, well, you know what happened.
Looking back, i don't think it was.
I started live in California with Eddie and Brandon. And we had so much fun. The cities, the camping, the parks. Those were amazing times!
It just wasn't the same on my own.
I needed a change.
I found one. I love it here at the retreat center. I live in a forest. I am immersed in nature. I see deer and
chipmunks and wild turkey and lately even some bears. I was living a peaceful dog free life.
And then the Universe said, "That's enough."
Meet Boo. I am dog sitting her for another staff member who is away on vacation. Boo is as adorable as she is stubborn. She is playful but has plenty of anxiety issues. As a recent rescue, she is timid about lots of things. For the first day I sat with her, she wouldn't get out of her chair. I have slowly been
getting her more comfortable with me. But she's doing great.
There will be more news and updates about Boo for as long as i'm here with her.
It's not just about her though. I've been here for 5 days. My time here has made me realize how much I miss having a dog. Even if it isn't my own dog.
I think there will be many more dogs in my future. - Mean Rescue Mom
