This adorable little Sheltie, Scout, recently visited Wags to Riches Grooming By April, where she performed exceptionally well for her S-paw day. We are currently collaborating to restore her beautiful coat, for which the Sheltie breed is renowned. It is essential to note that shaving a double-coated dog can lead to various issues, including alopecia, hot spots, loss of natural insulation, increased risk of sunburn, skin irritation, and damage to the coat's structure, potentially causing it to grow back thinner, coarser, and patchier.
