🌼 A few updates for those interested:

πŸ₯šWe are hatching for ourselves throughout the summer but may have eggs to share when incubators are full.

πŸ₯πŸ™We are also planning a very exciting giveaway for our followers, so keep an eye on our page for further details. πŸ˜‰

πŸ“ We will be test breeding from our mauve silkie flock & are looking forward to sharing our progress & possibly offering πŸ₯šat the end of this year.

And lastly,

πŸ”₯ Please make sure you are taking care of yourselves in this heat πŸ₯΅ Think, if something happened to you, WHO would feed your chickens ??? πŸ˜… *hydrated chickens & chicken tenders only! πŸ™

Ive been spending alot of time with this season's growouts. Observing my wins & fails, seeing what I need to improve upon & pairing birds in my head for next season.
There are lots of things that can be learned in the chicken yard if you're willing to sit still, look around, and listen. 🌼

We had a solo hatch, which means this baby is on the fast track to being a stage 5 clinger. My daughter's little dragon toy is the perfect size for snuggling in the brooder & keeping her company.

Cute little chocolate mottled showgirl with the fluffy cheeks too πŸ₯³

It has been incredibly busy around here the past two weeks & I can see I have lots of messages to go through. Not ignoring anyone, promise! 🀎πŸ₯πŸ‰

This is a 3 month old chocolate mottled cockerel from this year's growouts. I am seeing less white feathers overall & more white tips. I'm also seeing blue ear lobes and darker eyes compared to last season. Skin and beak are darkening as well in many of this year's offspring. Working on achieving that lovely Mulberry walnut comb that belongs front & center but for now we celebrate the small wins in our project.
🀎🩡 cute, chocolate & chunky is the way we like them.

Mottled has come along way this season for many breeders & it has been wonderful watching everyone's progress this year πŸ‘

Update: All spoken for, thank you!
πŸ‘€πŸ₯ I am going through growouts from my chocolate mottled flock one last time this season. I think I may have 3 pullets & 2 cockerels looking for new coops. Shoot me a message with interest please. Locals only, it is too hot to ship.
