THAILAND HAS OFFICIALLY DECLARED CATS AS NATIONAL SYMBOLS 🐱🇹🇭

Thailand — a land long intertwined with feline reverence — has now formally honored what its culture has celebrated for centuries: cats as national symbols of heritage, protection, and good
relationship with cats stretches back hundreds of years to ancient manuscripts called the Tamra Maew (“Cat Poems”), which described sacred cats as bringers of prosperity, guardians of temples, and companions of royalty. Certain cats were even believed to carry spiritual significance — guiding energy, luck, and harmony into the home.

By officially recognizing cats as national symbols, Thailand is preserving this cultural lineage while also using the moment to promote animal welfare, ethical breeding, and protection of native Siamese, Khao Manee, Korat, Suphalak bloodlines worldwide. It’s a declaration that goes beyond cuteness — it’s about honoring an ancient bond between humans and animals.
