While so much of this job is filled with wellness visits and smiles, some days end with helping a beloved animal pass peacefully, surrounded by love. These moments never get easier, but it is an incredible privilege to be trusted with an animal's final act of kindness and to support the families who love them. As a Christian, I hold onto the promise that God walks with us through every season. Even in grief, He offers peace, comfort, and the strength to make difficult decisions with love and compassion.

Tonight's sunset was a gentle reminder of His peace and His presence…exactly what I needed after leaving that farm.

If you need sedation for your horse(s), TODAY is the day to call us! We’d love to help with advice for the firework shows that everyone will be blessed with this upcoming weekend.

Also, while I have your attention. It is so hot 🔥. Please, please water yourselves 🥵 and your animals. Animals love cool FRESH water. Electrolytes are helpful to drive thirst. Sensitive animals (the old and the young) really need shade in the next few days.

It’s Our 1 Year Anniversary! 🎉

What started as a dream has grown into a year filled with farm calls, late-night emergencies, healthy newborns, pregnancy checks, surgeries, and countless miles traveled across North Georgia. We couldn't have done it without the trust and support of our amazing clients. Thank you for allowing us on your farm and for us to care for the animals that mean so much to you. This is why we answer emergency calls at all hours of the day and night.

After a prolonged, difficult birth, our team was able to deliver this calf and give him the best chance at life. With being stuck in the birth canal for over two hours, he developed significant swelling of his face and tongue, making it difficult to breathe and nurse.

With immediate care from Dr. Kelly and her team, along with dedicated monitoring from his farm family, we're happy to report that today he's up, nursing, and staying close to his first-time mom.

Some of the best calls in veterinary medicine are the ones that end like this. 🤎🐮
