I have a very important question for friends and family out there, has anyone used a pro bono lawyer, I am looking into this as we are still dealing with family on two estates of departed family members, where half of both estates go to my husband , we have been very patient, its been over 3 years on one, the other is dealing with another country( does anyone out there speak French?) my husband has yet to see a dime, no explanations of why or what is going on, just always excuses and lies, this could have been handled fair and square but the executor of the will is more interested in Money, not about what their Dad wanted, Not about being fair, or her relationship with my husband. It has been a roller coaster and has caused a deep wedge that will never be resolved. This is more than about the Money that is owed to him, it’s about “actions speak louder than words “ and trust and love or in this case the lack of love. True love does not stab their own brother in the back. Family should be able to trust family ! Wills should be followed! So Now, a lawyer who has our best interest in mind is the next step. Any advice? It is very sad when your own family turns on you, especially when they promised they would do the right thing, especially when you are the executor of the will because your job is to make sure both sides get their part, not sit on it and use the money as you please.
