As a follow up to this winter's drain tile project, we just reseeded almost 12 acres of pasture. The horses can't go out on it till the roots are well established, but it will result in really great grazing and some very happy horses!

Mounted games practice on a sunny afternoon in April. Elizabeth Tucker decided to try mounted games after watching her daughter enjoy practicing. We loaned her Chips Ahoy, who was also recently introduced to mounted games, and they had a blast!

Driving is a lot of fun, and another way to enjoy your equine partner! We are lucky to have a variety of well trained equids that are allow us to enjoy different aspects of driving! Recreational driving can take you to interesting locales such as Great Camp Santanoni, or just for a ride around town to get an ice cream cone. With driving competitions, some are judged on the horse or the driver, and some are judged on accuracy and speed!

On MARCH 8TH, 2025 Rivendell Veterinary Care and Honeydew Acres will co-host a trailer-loading clinic. Our clinician is DJ Murtaugh of London, ON. He will open up his large bag of tricks of how to get a flight animal to walk into a dark cave. Multiple horses and different trailers will be used for the demonstration.
