ATTENTION CANTON DOG PARK MEMBERS: Please be advised that the Canton Dog Park will be closed beginning Monday, November 10, for approximately 2 weeks to allow for the construction of planned improvements to the site. These renovations will include the installation of concrete slabs to replace the gravel areas located at dog park gate entrance, as well as foundational work for shade structures. In addition, Canton Parks staff will also take this opportunity to reseed high traffic areas. Due to the hazards of heavy machinery and construction site debris, the park will be closed and unusable for the duration of the renovation. Since this construction project is weather dependent, a reopening date will be announced at a later time. Watch for project updates as they become available online at www.cantonmi.gov/151 and on Facebook . Tomorrow at 11 a.m. is the Pumpkin & Pups event at the Canton Dog Park! Join us for socializing, free giveaways, or just as an excuse to see your pup in a cute costume! Whatever the reason, we hope you make it out and be sure to wander down the walking path between the Dog Park and Preservation Park for a free pup-cup. No registration is needed for this free event. Do you have your pup’s costume ready for next weekend! Join us for Pumpkins and Pups next Sunday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canton Dog Park. This FREE event will feature live entertainment, pet merchandise vendors, free giveaways, and more!

While you’re there, make sure to get a ‘Pet Passport’ and take a stroll on the walking path between the Dog Park to Preservation Park to receive a free pup-cup for your furry! The final regular season Canton Farmers Market will be taking place at Preservation Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check it out after spending time at the Dog Park.

ATTENTION CANTON DOG PARK MEMBERS: Please be advised that the Canton Dog Park will be closed on Wednesday, August 13, to allow for non-toxic spraying of w**ds along the park fences with a mixture of vinegar and dish soap – weather permitting. Canton Parks staff will be spraying along the perimeter of the fence lines with this natural alternative to herbicides in an effort to deter the growth of w**ds and tall grasses that will help reduce w**d whipping maintenance of this area.
