Barn repairs on the farm mean that The Boss mare of the crew (Sierra) is supervising the progress.

She is now pleased with the final result, but her frustration was evident most of the day. Lol!

We are heavy hearted today, my ducks are off to a new home.

With any animal care, you get to a point and have to ask to yourself 'is this the best life for them'. We were plagued with a predator that found his way into their coup nightly and I couldn't let them keep living in fear here, with me.

They are moving to a new place, with less predators and more duck and geese friends to make. 🥲

When people say birds are harty- they mean it.
These birds are willingly jumping into cold water, with 37degree temps outside. And loving life.
All the while I'm freezing just looking at them. Ha!
