Just like the seeds we plant in the soil need time, care, and the right conditions to grow, so does our faith. It doesn’t always happen overnight. Some days feel dry. Some seasons feel stormy. But even when we can’t see what’s happening underground, God is working.

Here on the farm, we trust the process—and we trust the One who created it.
Whether you’re tending to crops, caring for animals, raising a family, or just trying to get through the day, know this: God is growing something in you.

Happy 4th of July from Haven Farms!
Today we’re cranking up the patriotic tunes, soaking up the sunshine, and celebrating the land we love—surrounded by the sweetest four-legged companions.

🇺🇸 Fireworks & Fur Babies: 4th of July Safety Tips 🇺🇸
The 4th of July is full of fun for us—but it can be a lot for our pups. Here are some easy ways to help your dog stay safe and calm through all the pops, bangs, and barbecue smells:

🐾 1. Make a Cozy Den
Fireworks can be scary, even for the bravest Aussies. Set up a safe, quiet spot inside with their crate, favorite blanket, and a few toys. Somewhere they feel secure.

🎶 2. Muffle the Noise
Turn on a fan, some calm music, or even the TV. A little background noise can help drown out the fireworks and keep them from stressing.

🔖 3. Check Their Tags
Before the fun starts, double-check that their collar fits snugly and their ID tags are up to date—just in case they slip out the door in a panic.

🚪 4. Watch Those Exits
Even if they’re usually fine with noises, loud booms can send pups bolting. Make sure doors, gates, and fences are locked up tight.

🍗 5. Skip the Table Scraps
I know it’s hard to say no to those puppy eyes—but things like ribs, onions, grapes, and chocolate aren’t safe for our four-legged friends.

🐕 6. Get Their Energy Out Early
Take that walk or play fetch in the morning! A tired pup is a calmer pup when the fireworks start flying.

✨ Bonus: If you know your dog is especially anxious, chat with your vet ahead of time about calming aids or natural options.

While I spent the day at my 9-5, Andy and Mr. Jack were out gathering corn—doing what they do best. Side by side, swapping stories, talking weather, and counting God’s blessings… one row at a time.

I wasn’t there to hear it, but I can still picture it. Mr. Jack’s slow Southern drawl. Andy’s laugh drifting across the fields. The kind of work that doesn’t rush. The kind of moments you can’t buy. The kind of life that reminds you what matters most.

The farm kept moving today—even while I was away. And honestly, that’s the beauty of it. A rhythm rooted in legacy, in purpose, and in grace.

This life? It’s full.
It’s good.
It’s blessed. 🤍

Faith on the Farm: A Father’s Day Tribute

Today, we honor the men who shaped us — not with loud words, but with quiet strength.

My dad Mickey found peace in the woods and water.
Andy’s dad Paul grew patience and provision in his garden.
Our grandfathers? They taught us to fix what’s broken, cheer for our teams, pick the roses, tell the stories, and share the gum — even if it was just half a stick.

Their hands built more than memories. They built a legacy of love.

And above them all, we honor our Heavenly Father — steady, compassionate, and ever-present. He’s the one who fills in every gap and carries every generation in His grace.

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” — Psalm 103:13

Here’s to the ones we miss, the faith they passed down, and the Father whose love never leaves us.

Faith on the Farm Friday
🌾 When the Work Feels Unseen 🌾

There are days on the farm — and in life — when it feels like you’re doing all the things, and still coming up short.

Feeding, nurturing, cleaning, showing up. Loving people. Praying over pups. Working hard to do what’s right… but the fruit feels slow to come. The inbox is quiet. The puppies not yet placed. The prayers not yet answered. And part of you wonders — does it even matter?

But here’s the truth God gently reminded me of today:
Faithfulness is never wasted.
Not one moment of showing up with love — even if it’s just you and Jesus — is ever unseen by Him.

He honors obedience more than outcome. Sowing more than spotlight. And in time, the harvest will come.

📖 “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9

So keep planting seeds of kindness, of grace, of prayer.
He sees. He knows. He’s working — even now.

Those who’ve worn the uniform remember not just the sacrifice—but the names, the faces, and the friendships that never came home.

We remember them with deep gratitude. We live in freedom because they gave everything.

🐾🚗 Haven Farms Day Trip: Georgia Puppy Meetup! 🚗🐾

We were up with the sun Sunday morning—farm chores were finished early and sweet Lovely loaded for a special road trip eastbound on I-20! 🐶☀️

Our destination: the Georgia Welcome Center, where one of our sweet pups met their forever family. These moments never get old—seeing the joy on their faces and knowing another Haven Farms pup is right where they belong. 💛

After goodbyes and some puppy snuggles, we made our way back toward home with a mandatory stop at Buc-ee’s for our favorite road trip snacks: ice cream sandwich, popsicle, chips, and beef jerky. (Because we believe in rewarding both the humans and the pups on delivery day! 😉🍦🐾) and of course we had to stop by the grocery store for a case of Grapeco—an Alabama-born grape soda with bold flavor and Southern roots dating back to 1929. Sweet, fizzy, and full of nostalgia—just the way we like it!

Days like this fill our hearts. Grateful for the journey, the families, and every wagging tail along the way.

🐾❤️ Puppy Meetup with the Hodges Family! ❤️🐾
📍 Georgia Welcome Center • I-20 Eastbound
Yesterday morning we made a special trip east for a sweet sendoff—our Lovely Aka Marley met her forever family at the Georgia Welcome Center after a much-needed potty break and some stretches from the ride. 🚗🐶

Marley was lovingly scooped up by the Hodges’ daughter, who came fully prepared to pamper her newest sidekick. 🥹💗 With leash and collar in hand and hearts wide open, it was clear Marley was already home in their arms.

This sweet girl is making Haven Farms history as our first-ever placement in Georgia! She’ll have 60+ acres to run, roam, and grow into her role as the beloved family dog. Even more exciting? She’ll have seven siblings—ranging from grown adults to little ones—who are all eagerly waiting to meet her (and we hear they’re ready to spoil her absolutely rotten). 🐾✨

Marley, we’re already picturing you stretched out in the Georgia sunshine, surrounded by love, laughter, and a whole lot of space to be your free-spirited self.

Georgia’s on our mind today—and so are you. 💛

🐾 Puppy Pickup Story: Lily aka Myka 🐾

Andy and Caiden made the drive all the way from beautiful Niceville, Florida to meet our sweet red merle princess, Lily. It didn’t take long for them to fall for her soft eyes and gentle spirit—she’s now officially Myka and settling into her new sunshine state home!

Myka has a new buddy, Mailo, who brings big energy and playful vibes—just like her sister Heartly back at the farm, which makes the transition all the more special. At first, Myka wasn’t quite sure what to think of her bouncy new friend, but it didn’t take long for her to warm up and join in the fun.

Andy is no stranger to Aussies and brings a wealth of experience and love to Myka’s life. For Caiden, this is his first introduction to the breed—but Myka, true to her sweet southern charm, is already working her magic and winning him over in all the best ways.

We’re so excited for this new chapter in Myka’s story—Florida is lucky to have her! 🌴🐶💕
