Velveteen is still looking for her forever home even after attending her second adoption event. She was alittle
nervous again about being in her crate while having to see everyone walking around. I'd be nervous too! When she went on her bathroom breaks everyone she met said she was such a good girl as she got as many pettings as she could find. Velveteen is a 2 yr old, spayed, Curr mix who is eager to show you how great a dog she is. She will jump right into the car and travel to wherever you want to go. The car wash? The pet store? You name it, she's in. Fetch is her favorite game to play especially with her spikey ball. Don't worry she will bring it back so you can throw it again and again. After a fun filled day, Velveteen will curl up on the couch so she can get her evening pettings and relax while watching a Pirates game or testing her knowledge with the Game Show Network. She knows her basic commands of sit, paw and lay. While she prefers not to be her crate, she does sleep in one at her foster home where there are also cats. Want to meet Velveteen? 💔💔💔

Today is going to be a different post. This is Gilbert. Gilbert started his life out as a service dog prospect. He was plased with the woman photographed here, for his first stage of service dog training. Turns out Gilberts personality is so happy go lucky that he could not be a service dog. He just loves everyone❤️ Turns out, The woman in the photograph loved Gilbert so much she adopted him and he became a member of her family. Sunday, Gilbert's time on Earth came to an end. Gilbert was fatally shot on Saturday in Minnesota, when a man posing as a cop entered his home and murdered his Mom and Dad for being Democrats. Gilbert wasn't a Republican or a Democrat....he was just the goodest of boys. We don't care what your political affiliation is, Gilbert didn't care what your political affiliation was, he loved you anyway. This was just evil. So, to honor Gilbert and his parents Melissa Hortman and her husband.... don't talk about politics, make someone smile, spread kindness, donate to charity, anything.....just spread kindness. Do this to honor a good boy who just loved his Mom 😢😢😢
