Last week was so special with Keller Williams Canon City Red Day making JJs Helping Paws a 100% volunteer organization a better place by helping the exterior of our building. This helps us help the cats and dogs of Fremont County who rely on JJs programs. Our building is a port in the storm for cats and kittens who are surrendered to us, and home to many programs like our low cost spay and neuter voucher program for Fremont County pet owned cats and dogs. Paws Up for Keller Williams!

JJs appreciates the wet canned food we received this Saturday which was 210 cans plus 16 pounds of dry food. When JJs does trap, neuter, vaccinate and return of feral/community cats there is so much more than the TNR that is needed. It requires stabilizing the feral colony with food and often many kittens are surrendered to JJs. Many of these colonies are 10-30 cats and the colony managers cannot afford to feed the cats. This is why JJs helps. Thank you for donating to JJs feral food bank it means so much to JJs volunteers and the feral cats.

Happy Mother’s Day from JJs. This mother and kittens pictured recently came to JJs from a very tough situation. She is the best mother and takes such good care of them. She makes sure they are fed, warm, cleaned, and LOVED. It almost seems she says thank you to the volunteers when they feed her, and check on her and the babies. We are so glad that we at JJs can make this mama and her babies feel warm, loved, and safe.

Nana here is getting spayed with a JJs voucher. JJs partners with many pet owners to help them spay and neuter their pets. JJs programs are for Fremont County residents only however we get many requests for surrounding areas. We hear often that our spay and neuter programs make a huge difference in our community, less puppies and kittens, healthier pets, and promoting a better chance for adoption of cats and dogs that are already in shelters and rescues because there is less competition with puppies and kittens.

The Angels we help like Minky a pet owned kitty who was spayed at Fourmile Veterinary Clinic with a JJs voucher. One of the best ways JJs volunteers feel they can make an impact for the cats and dogs of Fremont County is by having spay and neuter programs like our low cost spay and neuter voucher program for pet owned cats and dogs, and our trap, neuter, vaccinate and return for feral/community cats. Can you imagine what Fremont County would look like without our high volume spay and neuter programs?

Thank you to those who donated cat food for our feral/community cat food drive this Saturday. These are cats who have gone through our trap, neuter, vaccinate, and return program. We are so touched. Many people who we supply cat food to sacrifice their own needs to feed the community cats and would not be able to feed the cats without this program. We received 367 cans of wet food and 39 pounds of dry food. It takes a village.

This handsome kitty has been hanging in my neighborhood for about 2 months. Not sure if male or female - but "he" follows me around when I go outside and talks my leg off... He is shy of touch right now, but I think he would warm up quite well with a little more attention. I did manage to stroke his back a bit - and he seems very boney under all that fur.

He has taken to staying in my yard pretty much all the time - which is a huge problem with my own pets - as he picks on my old dog, and she is a rescue and afraid of her shadow..

I've posted on the local lost & found pet pages, but I think this guy has been abandoned...

Called FCSO animal control and she will not pick him up.
I am at a loss for where to turn to get this guy some help. I have no idea where he sleeps at night, but during the day he stays pretty much in or around my yard.

Someone referred me to this page. Just looking for help in finding this guy a forever home where someone can care for him.. and my pets can have their yard back. I don't think it would take much to tame him down again, as he seems to look for companionship.

Any help would be very much appreciated
Meet Muffin, abandoned in her golden years after her daddy passed away. She's been fostered by the loving folks at JJ's Helping Paws until we find a quiet and loving home for her. More about this beauty at happycatshaven.org/2020/muffin
