🌊☀️ Fun Fact Friday – Summer is Here! ☀️🌊
What’s that splashing in the water? A shark?! 😱
Nope… just the cutest pup making waves in style! 🦈🐶

Fun Fact: Some dogs are natural swimmers, while others need a little help—and that’s where life vests come in! They’re a safe (and seriously adorable) way to keep your dog confident in the water.

Here’s to a summer full of wagging tails, belly flops, and shark-fin fashion. 🐾💦

🚨 HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR FREMONT COUNTY🚨
Temps are soaring, and it's not just humans who feel the heat — our pets are at serious risk too. 🐾🔥

Extreme heat can lead to dehydration, heatstroke, and even paw pad burns for pets. Please take a few simple steps to keep your furry friends safe:

🐶 3 Tips to Protect Your Pets During a Heat Advisory:

1️⃣ Never leave pets in a parked car – Even with windows cracked, temps can become deadly in minutes.
2️⃣ Keep walks short & avoid hot pavement– Early mornings or late evenings are safest. Use your hand to test pavement heat!
3️⃣ Provide plenty of shade & fresh water- Whether inside or out, hydration and shade are a must.

Let’s keep our animals safe and cool. Share to spread awareness! 💧☀️🐕

🔍🐾 Did You Know? Ultrasounds Can Help Us See What X-rays Can’t! 🐾🔍

Ultrasounds are a safe, non-invasive way for us to take a closer look at what’s going on inside your pet—like checking internal organs, identifying masses, or monitoring ongoing health conditions.

We’re proud to partner with a specialist who visits our clinic to perform high-quality ultrasounds right here, so your pet can stay comfortable in a familiar setting.

📅 Not sure if your pet needs an ultrasound? Schedule an appointment and our veterinary team will assess their needs and guide you every step of the way.

Your pet’s health is our priority—inside and out. 💙

🌼☀️ Summer’s Almost Here — and So Are Pet Allergies! 😣🐾

If your dog is constantly scratching, licking, or chewing, it could be more than just a seasonal nuisance — it might be allergies.

Just like us, dogs can react to pollen, grass, dust, and even bug bites. The result? Red, itchy, irritated skin that can drive them (and you!) crazy.

💉 Relief is Here: Cytopoint Injections
Cytopoint is a safe, fast-acting injection that targets itch at the source — giving your dog 4–8 weeks of relief without steroids.
✅ Reduces scratching, licking, and chewing
✅ Helps skin heal naturally
✅ Vet-recommended and well-tolerated

No more watching your pup suffer through the summer!

📞 Call us to see if Cytopoint is right for your dog — and let’s get them back to tail wags and belly rubs, not itch battles.

🐾👻 Fun Fact Friday: Friday the 13th Edition! 👻🐾

Friday the 13th might seem spooky to some, but did you know many pets actually have “lucky” traits? For example, dogs have a third eyelid called the nictitating membrane that helps protect their eyes — kind of like a built-in shield! 🐶✨

And cats? Their whiskers help them sense things humans can’t, giving them almost a “sixth sense” for danger or changes around them. 🐱🔮

So this Friday the 13th, celebrate your pet’s special superpowers — they might just be the luckiest charm you have!

What’s one quirky “superpower” your pet has? Tell us in the comments!

Our Story

What We’re All About…

Rose Veterinary Hospital offers a full range of veterinary services to care for your pet. We’ve listed some highlights of what we offer but if you don’t see what you’re looking for, please feel free to call and we’ll be glad to help you out. In addition to cats and dogs, we also see ferrets, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters and hedgehogs.

Since pets age about seven times faster than we do, it’s important to give them the best possible care they need at every life stage. We recommend annual wellness exams for pets of all ages as a preventative measure, with more frequent exams for senior pets. These exams can help detect serious conditions, allowing us to treat them in the early phases—before they become unmanageable.

By visiting us annually, you can discuss your pet’s future health outlook and ask questions about any existing conditions. Be sure to take note of any severe changes that have occurred with your pet, including vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, weight gain/loss, excessive thirst, or increased panting or aggression. If your pet is experiencing any of these symptoms or has developed any abnormal behavior since their last wellness exam, please inform our veterinarians.
