In this busy time of year, when time has been consumed with shopping, celebrating and enjoying Christmas and New Years, I find peace in the still and quiet of the barn. Where everything I’ve ever prayed for and dreamed of peacefully rests, one stall after another of the best horses ❤️🎄❤️

I’m reminded of the endless blessings God has bestowed upon me in the form of talented horses, wonderful clients and great friends, in addition to the gift of salvation He’s given to me with the promise of eternal life.

Yesterday was a day for the (ex) racehorses! Reata had a wound check for her healing owie and is doing great! Zephyr, my handsome client horse, got a dental and is ready to go back to work next week!

💥Client Horse Spotlight💥

Zephyr, a lovely 5 year old Thoroughbred gelding has been with me for 2 weeks now! We’ve been remembering our ground manners, working on relaxing his poll in forward movement and picking up his ribs to help build a stronger top line too! It’s hard to tell here but he is HUGE so we added sidepassing to the mounting block to his resume to make life easier for those getting on!
He’s mastered standing quietly to get on and off and is much more relaxed!
Well spend the next 2 weeks primarily working on time under saddle and hauling out to new arenas!

This one’s been fun; both kind and gentle, though GIANT! I’ll miss him when he goes back home! ❤️

The best time of the day, are the early morning hours. The hours when the world is still asleep and everything is still. The only sound is the morning air filled with the content chews of happy horses beginning their day.
That’s the best part of mine too 💜

• This is Zephyr (‘Z’ as I’ve affectionately nicknamed him while he’s with me). This truly GIANT off the track gelding has an even bigger heart and the kindest soul.
