Do you have kittens that need to be surrendered? This event is through The Bond Between on Friday, May 15th. The Bond Between is an organization that has taken in several MN Rescue cats from Canby, MN and abroad. They are a wonderful organization that is making a HUGE impact in Minnesota!

This event is worth the drive for rural communities that need help to get kittens out of their care and off to their forever homes. The bond between is a very well established, Minnesota based non-profit organization.

At this event they are also offering two spay/neuter vouchers per household and free food. What an incredible event that will help SO many!

Please contact the bond between directly or visit their website for more information. https://www.thebondbetween.org/

Don't miss this opportunity to round-up your kitties!

The Bond Between ~
"Over 1.5 MILLION kittens enter shelters across the nation every single year... that is over 4,000 kittens PER DAY 🤯

Kitten season is still in full swing... so this Friday, May 15th, we are hosting another Kitten Surrender Event at our Minneapolis location. The goal is still the same: breaking the cycle before it can begin again by spaying and neutering kittens before they get adopted out into their homes.

This event is about more than just the kittens being surrendered. It’s about supporting the people caring for them, too.

🐾 Free pet food (dog and cat) and cat litter available
🐾 FREE spay/neuter vouchers for pets in your home
🐾 A judgment-free space to ask questions, get support, and learn about available resources

This is one small way that we can help lower the number of animals entering shelters every single year. The ripple effect that this creates? Less animals being euthanized due to space.

If you have kittens that need placement, pets at home who aren’t yet spayed or neutered, or maybe you just need support and resources... whatever you need, we’re here to help ❤"

MN Rescue is in need of supplies to get us through the rest of April. The Runnings store in Canby, MN has graciously offered to discount any donations bought for MN Rescue a 25% off discount. Just ask for the discount at check-out. Thanks, Runnings Stores

Our current brands just so happen to be on sale!! A win win for anyone wanting to donate food for our local fosters and strays. We try to keep them on the same kibble brand when and if possible.

All donations of any kind get used of course. We appreciate any and all donations that come our way and so do our fury little friends. We have both adult cats and kittens in our current foster care.

Thankfully we have enough litter thanks to Justin Garcia the store manager at runnings. Runnings donates to our local mission monthly. What a relief that's been for our foster care needs.

Donations can be called in by phone or purchased in store. Please leave the items at the store for pick-up by a MN Rescue volunteer. Runnings has offered to hold donated items. How kind of them!

Kitten rescued in Canby, MN. Approximately 3 months old. Rescued on Wednesday, April 15th, behind Hereo's bar & grill. Please keep an eye out around Canby everyone for any other small kittens. Please contact us if any are found or Deanna Schroeder.

For now, we are calling this adorable little one, Taz like the tasmanian devil cartoon character. He or she is super FAST & HUNGRY!!

Where was Taz found?
Two volunteers from MN Rescue spotted Taz while driving on main Street in Canby, MN. Taz was clearly in immediate need of rescue. Taz was bobbing & weaving across roads and under vehicles during a busy time of the day.

Thankfully, the MN Rescue volunteers just so happen to be in the right place- at the right time! They were able to jump into rescue mode and drop traps before Taz got away or worse. What a lucky little kitty!

Taz dodged three humans during rescue. A good samaritan also stepped in and tried to help. Thank you to that good samaritan! Rescuers got very lucky in trapping Taz. He disappeared after running off. Taz was ultimately found under a shaded shed behind a local bar.

The volunteers almost missed him during the search, but spotted him last second in the shadows under the shed. Later to learn that Taz was spotted at the same shed just the evening before. An employee of the bar attempted rescue also. Taz is fast & smart, but luckily was hungry enough to go into the traps set by MN Rescue volunteers.

Taz is eating/drinking alot and resting a ton. Taz is likely a stray kitten that lost it's way. Given the timid behavior, how tired he or she is and the large appetite, Taz is either a stray or has been missing for a little while. He or she fell asleep in the trap while rescuers drove around looking for any possible siblings. Taz was and still is a very tired little kitty.

MN Rescue wants to make sure that Taz does not belong to anyone before trying to find permanent placement. We will assume that Taz is a stray if not claimed by May 1, 2026. Proof of ownership will be required.

Please message us directly if this is your kitten and what information will be required to confirm ownership.

Please share this post to try and locate the owner. Thank you! 🐾

Dusky was trapped for TNR but as you can see that this boy is too sweet for the streets! Dusky is in Canby, MN in MN Rescue foster care.

He has been neutered, given a rabbies vaccine and microchipped thanks to Sioux Empire TNR Coalition. Dusky heads to his 2nd MN Rescue foster family tomorrow in Apple Valley, MN.

Thanks to vet bill donors Dusky was also combo tested at the Dawson Veterinary Clinic last week for Feline Leukemia and FIV. He was negative. Dusky has also been dewormed and given prevention (nexguard).

TO ADOPT ❤️
He still needs is distemper/luekemia vaccines and a booster vaccine which is very affordable. His adoption donation request will be that his new family pay to finish his vaccines. This can be done through our vet clinic or the adoptive family's vet.

That's all this sweet boy needs to be vetted. He does have a clip on his right ear however because he was trapped for TNR (trap-neuter-return). You can hardly tell!

With him being so sweet and non-aggressive it can make life a little more challenging for a gentle stray to defend themselves.

We feel he is ready for his forever home. It is his time to leave the streets! He is no longer a feral boy and never showed any feral behavior while in our care.

To adopt Dusky, please message me directly Deanna Schroeder for more information on Dusky.

Volunteer transportation on adoption day may be provided depending on location.
