Big Dogs, Big Coats, Big Transformations!

Today’s grooming lineup was not for the faint of heart! Meet Ace the Australian Shepherd and his ranch-working buddies—Butch a majestic Great Pyrenees and Arabella a Pyrenees mix. These hardworking pups spend their days protecting livestock, patrolling property, and collecting every burr, sticker, and tumbleweed Oklahoma can throw at them.

What looks like “just a bath” is actually hours of brushing, de-shedding, drying, combing, and coat work to safely remove packed undercoat and keep these giants comfortable and healthy. The amount of fur that came off could probably make a whole extra dog!

Behind every fluffy after photo is a lot of patience, attention to detail, and a groomer covered head-to-toe in dog hair. But seeing these hardworking ranch dogs leave feeling lighter, cleaner, and ready for their next adventure makes it all worth it.

This handsome boy came in today struggling with seasonal allergies that had him itching, scratching, and chewing excessively. Unfortunately, all that irritation caused significant matting throughout his coat, making him uncomfortable and trapping dirt and moisture against his skin.

During his grooming session, we carefully removed the mats, cleaned and soothed his skin, and gave him a fresh start. While grooming can’t cure allergies, maintaining a regular grooming schedule can help reduce discomfort by removing allergens, improving skin health, and preventing painful matting.

He left feeling cleaner, lighter, and much more comfortable. We wish him relief from those pesky seasonal allergies and many itch-free days ahead!

The day's second lovable canine was a 5-month-old Shi Tzu Yorkie mix. This was her initial grooming session. Her coat was severely tangled due to pesky fleas. We opted to shave her and she showed remarkable poise during her first groom. Unfortunately, I failed to take photographs, but her owner generously provided these images for me to post.
