Answers to common questions:
1. Vouchers must be purchased at the shelter during business hours, Tuesday-Friday from 10am-4pm.
2. Proof of rabies vaccine required to purchase per state law, all pets must be vaccinated. Exemptions for pets too young to be vaccinated will be granted. Exemptions for pending proof of rabies vaccine is scheduled with spay/neuter appointment. You will be required to return proof within 3 days of vaccination.
3. If you are not a resident of Taylor county, your vet may not accept the voucher. Please check with them first or schedule with a local vet that will accept the voucher.
4. Vouchers will be good for 30 days from the date of purchase unless the animal is too young then the voucher will be good for 30 days past the 6 months of age mark. Date may be extended if appointment is scheduled with vet past the 30 days but this must be communicated at the time of purchase. Also, if your dog is in heat, we will change the expiration date 3 months out.
5. If you are interested in having your pet microchipped, we do offer microchip and Canine 1 DAPPv (Distemper, Adenovirus, Type 2-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus) and Feline 1-HCP (Rhinotracheitis-Calici-Panleukopenia) vaccines at the shelter for $26.50 combined. Please bring your pet with you to purchase your voucher if interested.
