CAUTION***********WATCH YOUR PETS

FYI: The next 4-6 weeks is mating season for coyotes. Please do not let your dogs out alone or leave your cats out overnight. The outcome can be tragic as they can & will attack/kill your pets. Just be aware so you can protect your pets. {Coyote breeding typically peaks in late February and early March, the gestation period averages 58 to 63 days. Male coyotes can become more aggressive during this time of year, THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT ALL IS THAT COYOTES CAN ALWAYS POSE A THREAT TO SMALL PETS / LIVESTOCK. That risk increases during mating season.

Unfortunately the cubs wiped out my only water cam so I didn't get a video of them swimming, but that's how it goes sometimes. Bear activity in this area is really picking up now so I'll probably have a lot more posts like this one in the near future.

It took 400 stitches to put her back together. .george.3 reached out to see if she’d want to join them on a collar removal day. Here she is with Jeff Flood from the Stevens and Ferry county sheriff’s office and Bart George, a biologist for the Kalispell Tribe, with a lion. She’s a tough cookie. I told my oldest daughter about this and she expressed how brave that was and didn’t know if she was in her shoes if she could do that. I agree. I hope it was therapeutic for her.
