Phoenix seems to know this is her last litter. The pups go home in 7 days. She has spent more time with them than her other litters, breaking into the puppy area at a whim just to see them. I will be forever grateful for her. Watching the pups knowing this is the last time her and I will do this together is bittersweet. The next time I will do this is with her daughters and I wonder what sort of grandmother she will be. She is eager to get back to work, and I hope we get to step on the field one more time. She owes me nothing, we are doing this for her.

Vixey is a perfect combo of 3 of the best females I have known. She thinks she was born to rule. She has wise eyes and strong opinions since day 1. I have no idea where this journey will take us but I am excited to find out.

Go home bags are packed! Contracts are printed! Embark, shots and microchips will be done this week! The last two weeks with a litter is always hectic, this time I am determined to up my organization game. Also I leave for vacation with day after the pups do!

Now we just have to focus on placements so everyone can know who thier new little furry buddle of joy is and pick names!
