BackCountry Kennels

BackCountry Kennels 14 kennel overnight dog boarding facility. 1st dog $30/night, 2nd/3rd dog etc $20/night each. This is a small facility which is what I wanted.

Max dog capacity is 32 dogs. We are a small facility which is what I was wanting. I want each animal to have individual time with owner. Each dog gets at least 3 potty breaks per day by leash walking. We take the time to make sure that special needs dogs and high anxiety dogs, etc. get all they need to make their stay as calming and comforting as possible. I have 1+ years' experience working at a

Humane Society, so I have handled all types of dogs. Our goal is to make your fur-babys stay as awesome and happy as possible and your time away from them the same because you know they are in great care! ❤️

New client spotlight: 💖 𝖤𝗆𝗆𝗂𝖾 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖦𝗋𝖺𝖼𝗂𝖾= These two cuties did great for their first stay also! They were used to boarding so of course that always makes it easier. Emmie was the outgoing one and was always first one in line to do anything. 😂 Gracie was the shy one (at first) until she got to know you. Once she got used to things she was a totally different girl. She wanted kisses, she wanted in the lap, and she was running all over the place. She loved running out in the play yard. Two very sweet girls. 🥰❤️

New client spotlight: 𝙊𝙖𝙠𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙬𝙢𝙖𝙣= These two sweethearts had a real long stay with me and did great! They were used to boarding so of course they knew what to expect. They both ate good the whole stay and loved going outside. They did not enjoy the play yard that much, so I decided to take them on walks every time. They loved using their outside kennel too! Bowman was the quiet and laid back one and was just happy laying in his bed. Oakley loved to chew on his bed, bones, whatever he had! He was also very talkative when he wanted to be and also loved to play wrestle with his brother. His brother not so much. 🤣

Good morning!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be taking a few days off here and there in the slow months of January and February so I can try to get caught up on some much-needed rest (mentally and physically) before the busy seasons start up again in March and its nonstop. I do plan on hiring someone this year though! YAY!!🤗

Right now, we will be closed on the following dates:

Tuesday 1/27/26 and Wednesday 1/28/26.
Monday 2/23/26, Tuesday 2/24/26, Wednesday 2/25/26.

More dates might possibly be added if I have cancellations.

Thank you for your understanding.

Just a reminder that I will gladly accept donations of used or new blankets, sheets, bath towels, and full/twin or queen comforters or even old beds they don't use anymore or have outgrown for the puppers. I tend to go through a lot. Once a dog tears a good size hole in or rips, it goes in the trash. I also do not charge for destruction of bedding, etc. so it will help me out tremendously.

If you are looking to "out with the old, in with the new", please remember us! 💖

Thank you. 😊

New client spotlight: Lucy- This sweet girl had never been boarded before so owner was not sure how she was going to do. She did great! Of course, it did take her about 45 minutes to get used to all the noises but then she was good to go. She did not have any issues eating. She was a little unsure going outside the first few times, but she got used to the routine pretty quick. She had a short stay, but she will remember when she comes back and it will be 100x better. 😊

New client spotlight: 🎄LIZZIE💖= This little sweetheart did absolutely great for her first ever stay! She was with her sister, so she was comfortable from the start. She ate good the whole time, and she loved curling up in her blankets and she REALLY loved snuggles. 🤗 All she wanted to do with get in my lap and get hugs and kisses-which was hard because her sister wanted the same thing so then both of them was there, so you needed 4 arms.

New client spotlight: ℍ𝕦𝕝𝕜- This fella got to spend the day with me to get him used to the boarding experience. He did great! He was scared and overwhelmed with the noise the first half of the day which is totally expected. By the second half of the day, he was in the front of his kennel standing at the door and barking with the rest of them. 😂 He still wasn't too sure about going outside to the play yard but his 2nd and 3rd visit will be so much different, and he will feel much more comfortable. 💖

New client spotlight: 𝚂𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚝= This handsome boy did great for his first stay, but he was also used to the boarding experience, so he knew what to expect. He did not have any issues eating or anything. He loved to go to the yard to run and play with the soccer ball. What he loved most though was looking out in the woods watching the squirrels jump through the trees and the birds flying around. That was most important of all! 😂 I asked the owner when he picked him up if he hunted with him. He said no, but he was trained for that. I could definitely tell. 🤗

New client spotlight: ~Fergus~ This cute little fella did great for his first ever stay! He did come with his sister who has been here before, so I am sure that helped. This guy was so laid back he didn't care what he did, what time he did it, or what was going on. He just laid in his sisters big ole bed and just watched everything. He also would have stayed outside in the yard forever, I think. 😂

New client spotlight: 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙜𝙞𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬- These 2 girls did great for their stay. Owner was really worried about Maggie because she has never boarded before and was a rescue and also very attached to owner. She did absolutely wonderful! No issues eating or anything. She loved going for walks and going to the play yard and she would just jump around and play with me. She was a very happy girl while she was here! Willow also did great, but it did take her a few days to get completely comfortable with everything. After that, she was a little stinker. She would jump around on her leash and try to chase rocks (yup) 😂 on her walks and also try to grab her leash and yank on it. When I let her out in the play yard, she thought it was a game when it was time to come back in and she would not let me catch her. She would just run, run, run from me and I could tell she was laughing about it. 🙃 Seriously though, I love seeing all these dogs' personalities.

New client spotlight: 𝚃𝚊𝚌𝚘- This guy did great for his first stay! I just 💖 his name too! Owner was a little worried because it takes him some time to feel comfortable with people and is known to nip but once owner was gone and he knew he was dependent on me, he was fine. I believe in giving every dog a chance. She also brought him for a meet and greet before the boarding appointment which also helped. He remembered coming here and remembered me. He became my best friend. He ate good while he was here and he really enjoyed running and laying in the yard. 🥰
