We’re so thankful for another very successful TNR day at KCHS! 🐱❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Turbeville Impact Incorporated and DoRe Ranch and Rescue for once again partnering with us and helping make this important work possible. Because of this incredible teamwork, 91 community cats were spayed/neutered today! 🎉🐾

We also want to thank our amazing community members who participated and brought cats to be part of the program. TNR is an important part of helping reduce the community cat population in a humane and effective way, and every single person who participates is helping make a difference.

❤️ 91 cats. 91 lives impacted. One step closer to being part of the solution. ❤️

Here at KCHS we are overwhelmed and overcrowded and right now we have a group of 8 kittens that are young and vulnerable and in need of Fosters.

They can be split up into separate foster homes, but they are too little to be in the shelter environment.

🐾 NOW HIRING: PART-TIME OFFICE PERSONNEL 🐾

The Kershaw County Humane Society is looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

This position is focused entirely on administrative and office responsibilities, there is no involvement in animal care or shelter policy decisions.

📋 Responsibilities Include:

Working with accounting software and maintaining accurate financial records.
Creating monthly Profit & Loss statements.
Managing our donor tracking system.
Maintaining records and files for facility and vehicle maintenance.
Monitoring email accounts.
Maintain payroll records and employee files.
General administrative and organizational duties.

⏰ Schedule: 4 days per week, 4 hours per day

💼 Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge and experience with accounting software
Strong computer and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Excellent attention to detail
Reliable and professional

💰 Salary: Based on experience

🐾☀️ **HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY!** ☀️🐾

Today is all about celebrating the goofy smiles, wagging tails, wet noses, zoomies, cuddles, and unconditional love that make dogs so incredibly special. ❤️🐶

And what better way to celebrate than by helping save a life! 🐾❤️

Here at the Kershaw County Humane Society , we have SO many beautiful puppies and dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and breeds who are waiting for something every dog deserves a second chance and a place to call home. 🏡

Some have been overlooked. Some have been waiting far too long. And some simply need someone willing to see the amazing dog underneath the circumstances that brought them here.

Our shelter animals rely on the kindness and generosity of our community every single day. With so many dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens in our care, we go through an incredible amount of food and linens to keep everyone happy, healthy, warm, and comfortable.

🥫 FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED:

Meet Christian ♥️🐶

This handsome old man was recently surrendered into our care as his owner no longer had time for him after having him for 10 years. Christian is neutered, up to date on vaccines and prevention, and would love nothing more than to relax in someone’s lap. He deserves to enjoy the golden years in the comfort of a loving forever home. 🥹🏠

He is more of a co-exister with other dogs and loves to be held and cuddled. We feel he would do best in a calm home to rest his old bones.
