Hey friends, help the Eaton FFA win this by liking the original picture/post of Eaton MVCTC FFA. We need the likes !!!!
My FFA advisor has had a huge impact on our chapter by pushing every member to grow and opening doors we didn’t even know existed. Through her encouragement, she has helped each of us step outside of our comfort zones and discover new opportunities.
One example of this is our equine judging team. At first, our chapter was just scraping together a team, but she encouraged us to join and gave us pointers from when she competed in the same contest in high school. Because of her support and belief in us, we eventually made it to state finals, and from there, we qualified for the National Arabian Judging Contest in Oklahoma. That experience alone showed me how much she pushes students to achieve more than they think is possible.
She has also encouraged students to widen their view on life—to not limit themselves too early, but instead realize there are so many things they can be good at and so many opportunities they can try. A student is only with their advisor for a few short years, but the impact they leave can last a lifetime. Not all teachers have that special ability, but our advisor, Carley Asher, truly does.
She constantly pushes members to try something new, whether it’s a CDE, an event, a shop project, or even running for chapter office. She makes it clear that every member of the Eaton MVCTC FFA chapter has a place and a purpose in this organization. She doesn’t tell students they’ll be good at everything—instead, she helps them find what they are good at, what they enjoy, and where they belong.
She impacts not just individuals, but our chapter as a whole. She cares about every student equally and goes out of her way to make sure everyone has the best opportunities possible. She prepares students for the real world by teaching skills we might not learn in a normal classroom. She radiates her energy onto others, showing us how to lead and how to pass that impact on to those around us.
Carley Asher has impacted the Eaton MVCTC FFA chapter in ways words can’t fully describe, but her influence can be seen in every student she has helped grow.
