Daisy would like to introduce you to one of her buddies, Alexis!
❤️🐾🌼

* Alexis graduated from Bradford Vet Tech Institute of Columbus in 2020 and started working at Guernsey Veterinary Clinic in 2020 as a Veterinary Technician! ♥️

* She lives with her fiancé and her 15 year old furbaby, Sparky. ☺️

* In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling and baking! 🥰📖🌍👩🏼‍🍳

A tip from Alexis and Daisy:
Since pets age much faster than humans, annual bloodwork can help veterinarians detect diseases and health problems early, often before symptoms appear. Especially for patients 7 years of age and older we recommend annual bloodwork at their regular visits so we can help stay on top of your furbabies health!☺️ Give us a call at 740-432-5980 to schedule your next visit!

Dr Daisy unfortunately has some concerning health updates for our local dog friends - we have recently had several patients diagnosed with parvo virus. We have not found a single link between these patients which makes us more concerned about where they were exposed. The best prevention for parvo is keeping vaccinations up to date. Puppies who have not completed their vaccine series should not be in areas with unvaccinated dogs. Here is some information about parvo. Hopefully we don’t see any more cases 🤞

This week Daisy would like to introduce you to one of her buddies, Kaylee! 🌼🐾❤️

* Kaylee started working at Guernsey Veterinary Clinic in 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant and became a Registered Veterinary Technician at the end of 2024!

* She has been married for 6 years to her high school sweetheart, Nate and has a perfect 13 month old son, Tate! 🩵

* At home she has 2 beagles- the sweetest girl, Ahna and a goofy boy, Ridley! 🐶🐶

* In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her little family, reading, shopping, and crafting. 🥰

A tip from Kaylee and Daisy:
Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases such as Anaplasmosis are very prevalent in this area. We see a handful of positives most days, even in pets showing no current signs! The best way to prevent your pet from these diseases are year-round, monthly oral flea and tick preventatives, along with the Lyme vaccine that adds another layer of protection. Give us a call at 740-432-5980 for more information on flea and tick preventatives and our Lyme Vaccine!

Don’t we all wish we were as fabulous as Zoey?!?!?!?! She was such a good girl and had a perfect bill of health. Our day was made with mom’s stories of all of Zoey’s antics.
