CVVH staff interview their pets.
This is Catherine’s cat Tigerlily:
1. What's your given name? What do you get called?
My name is Tigerlily. I get called a number of things, including “stinky" (after rolling in dead rodent), and "skinny" (I refuse to eat my food.)
2. What's your favorite toy?
Honestly, I'm not much into toys. I can entertain myself for a little bit with the odd moth or snow falling from the sky, but my real joy in life is climbing on the humans in my house and trying to get them to pay attention to me. Or whining at the door to get let out after dark.
3. What's your favorite thing to do?
I love when I can sit in someone's lap and they'll let me rub my cold wet nose on their hands and face. Then I'll lay down and dig my claws into them while purring loudly. The worst is when they're paying attention to something other than me, like food, or a phone, or sleeping. (I sniff their eyes on occasion to check if they're actually asleep or just ignoring me.)
I also find immeasurable joy from pooping in the garden beds. It’s kind of a fun challenge to see who gets blamed for the damage.
My other challenge is sneaking into Catherine's room whenever she accidentally leaves the door open (I know she's allergic to me). I climb her bunk bed ladder and crawl into her covers and take long snoozes there, snoring loudly. One time I snuck in there before she went away and the bedroom door got closed inadvertently. Her dad couldn't find me all weekend even though I was clawing at the door. This was not pleasant (no food or water for 48 hours!), but I was very gracious and did not relieve myself anywhere until I was released when Catherine got home again.
4. The most delicious food is...
I'm more of a desert gal. I'll eat my friskies' shreds, but most of the time I leave the bowl quite full. I like crunchy treats and bugs.
5. If you could text your person what would you say?
I wouldn't text the humans in the house because then they'd be looking at their screen instead of me. Better to jump on them and be a nuisance until someone does something.
