Coopers second rehab ride and his first time bridle-less!! As always he was absolutely perfect and seemed to really enjoy not wearing anything on his face. He’s simply perfect🥰

Birchfield Equestrian Center LLC is officially CLOSED.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce I’m closing BEC. I’ve had the time of my life the past (almost) 4 years teaching so many amazing clients and working with so many great horses. I will always be so grateful for everyone that helped make my business successful. There wouldn’t have been any business without everyone that trusted me with their riding journey and horses, for that I am so appreciative.

My biggest thank you goes out to my SPECTACULAR lesson horses. Bear, Atticus, and Cooper gave their everything to me and everyone they helped teach. I am so proud of them. Enjoy your retirement boys, you deserve it.

Guess who’s back👀

Cooper had his first ride back after the past couple months of small paddock rest. I walked him around for about 10 minutes and of course he was absolutely perfect. The vet cleared him for a couple walk rides a week and lots of hand walking! He’ll be on small paddock rest for one more month and then he’ll go back with his friends!!

My perfect Cooper has sustained career ending tendon injuries. He has a lateral suspensory branch lesion and very mild deep digital flexor tendinitis. This is absolutely heartbreaking and a massive blow to my lesson program. Cooper is the heart and soul of BEC and it will be very hard not having him in the program anymore. My hope is for him to rest and rehab and potentially turn into a low level walk/trot kids horse since he does love working and being included. His health is my biggest priority right now so he’s getting all the rest, love, and food his heart desires.

To my special Cooper-
Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and all the students you’ve taught over the years. You have kept every single person you’ve been around safe and happy. You’ve given confidence to adult students when they needed a calm and forgiving soul. You’ve given expertise and strength to my advanced students with your quirks. You’ve gone into babysitter mode with the little kids that had a blast riding you. You were everything and more to everyone around you and you mirrored exactly what each rider needed from you. I will never find one like you again my special boy. Enjoy your retirement.

We said goodbye to Chief a little over six months ago, and it’s still so weird not having him here. He was such a staple in our barn and our most trustworthy and constant horse.

However, Ainsley is a few days away from being six months pregnant and I find such a bittersweet symmetry with that. We can’t wait for her baby to be here. 5 months to go!
