Sometimes you just need some good news to brighten your day….and here it is! Meet Wally - a couple weeks ago Wally came in for a routine procedure, but his pre-anesthetic labwork happened to show that he was anemic and had a low platelet count. Unfortunately, with continued to work up Dr. Casey found that he had a mass on his spleen that was causing some mild internal bleeding. He was taken to surgery and his entire spleen, including a grapefruit size mass on it, was removed and he recovered great from surgery. We are happy to report that Wally‘s splenic mass came back benign (a hematoma) and he is back in action! Luckily, the mass was identified prior to a severe intra-abdominal bleed thanks to his dedicated owners and modern medicine! We are so happy for Wally and his family! Watch him happily trot back to his family after his suture removal 😍 Cheers to Wally!

Ever wonder what our doctors are up to when they’re not at the clinic? Here are some pics of our doctors doing what they love in the “wild”!
Dr Elizabeth competes with centralcoastrollerderby as a jammer.
Dr Casey rides her horse Artie and competes in three day eventing.
Dr Alex coaches both kids’ sports teams, which includes soccer, baseball and flag football.

It's still Pet Dental Health Month! 🦷✨
Our wonderful RVT, Brooke, and her very cooperative cat, Professor, are demonstrating how they take care of Professor's teeth at home. Regular brushing helps remove the daily accumulation of plaque from the teeth, and therefore help prevent periodontal disease and other health issues. Make sure to always use a pet-specific toothpaste, never the human version! 🩵
